This study examines the rapid ascent of the right-wing populism Sanseitō political party (参政党) in Japanese politics, focusing on its political and social implications through the lens of media discourse. The Sanseitō party achieved notable electoral breakthroughs by securing over 100 local assembly seats in the April 2023 local elections, electing 15 members to the House of Councilors in July 2025, thereby reshaping the Japanese political landscape. This phenomenon cannot be understood merely as the success of a new minor party but rather as the convergence of voter dissatisfaction with current established politics, the transformation of information distribution structures, and heightened social insecurity. This article analyzes the party's distinctive ideology, policies, and strategies beyond the traditional framework of party politics. Drawing on media reports and journalistic discourse, it identifies the Sanseitō's core ideological tenets, organizational features, and support base. The analysis reveals how these discourses interconnect to form the political foundation of the Sanseitō, contributing to the broader dynamics of right–wing populism in contemporary Japan.

이 글은 최근 급격히 성장한 일본 참정당(參政党)의 정책 성향과 조직･운영 방식, 대중동 원 전략을 살펴보고 정치사회적 함의를 고찰한다. 참정당은 2020년에 결성한 이래 2023년 4 월 지방선거에서 100여명의 지방의원을 당선시키고 2025년 7월 참의원선거에서 의석수 15석 을 차지하는 등 일본 정치 지형에 새로운 변화를 가져왔다. 이 같은 성장은 단순히 신당의 약 진을 넘어 기존 정치에 대한 유권자의 불만, 정보 유통 구조의 변화, 사회 불안정성이 결합된 복합적 현상으로 이해된다. 이 글에서는 전통적인 정당 정치의 틀을 벗어나 독특한 인념과 전략에 기반한 참정당의 정책과 이념, 전략을 제시한다. 자료는 주로 참의원 선거 전후 시기 참정당 관련 미디어 및 언론 기사를 살펴보며, 참정당의 핵심 이념, 조직적 특징, 지지 기반 과 정치 동원 방식 등을 다각도로 검토한다. 이를 통해 참정당의 약진이 일시적인 정치이벤 트에 그치는지, 장기적으로 일본 정치사회 지형의 변화를 촉발하는 현상인지 논의한다.
