In Moon Tae-Jun’s poetry, space is reinterpreeted as a multi-layered and generative place where existence, time, inner self, and external reality complexly intersect. His poetic space accumulates traces of memory and life, dissolving and expanding the boundaries between humans, nature, and the cosmos into a relational space. Moreover, it functions as a sacred space where inner deprivation and transcendental dimensions coexist, reflecting Buddhist impermanence thought and Gaston Bachelard’s spatial philosophy, thereby creating a unique aesthetic of space. This study explores this multidimensional spatial aesthetics through literary text analysis and the cross-application of philosophical theories. Utilizing in-depth textual analysis and an integrative interpretive approach combining existential and philosophical spatial theories, this study proposes a ‘poetics of living places’ in Moon Tae-jun’s poetry. This proposal extends beyond traditional personal lyricism, broadening the horizon of new poetic experiments that perceive and investigate the rhythms of existence, time, and the world, and suggests a paradigm shift in contemporary Korean poetry criticism. It particularly highlights the creative manifestation of poetic imagination within the delicate tensions and harmonies between the self, the world, and the other, underscoring the distinctiveness and innovation of Moon Tae-jun’s poetics. This study makes a significant contribution by offering a new interpretive direction for contemporary Korean poetry research through Moon Tae-jun’s spatial aesthetics, while unveiling the potential contributions of multilayered reflections on poetic spatiality to the broader field of literary criticism.

문태준의 시에서 공간은 단순한 서정적 배경을 넘어 존재와 시간, 내면과 외부가 복합적으로 교차하는 다층적이고 생성적인 장소로 재해석된다. 그의 시적 공간은 기억과 삶의 흔적이 누적된 자리이며, 인간과 자연 우주 의 경계가 허물어지고 확장되어 조응하는 관계적 공간이다. 또한 내면의 결핍과 초월적 차원이 공존하는 성소적 공간으로서, 불교적 무상 사유와 바슐라르의 공간철학이 투영되어 독창적인 공간미학을 구현한다. 본 연구는 문학 텍스트 분석과 철학적 이론의 교차 적용을 통해 다차원 적 공간미학을 탐구하였다. 심층적 텍스트 분석과 존재론 및 철학적 공간 이론의 통합적 해석 방법을 사용하여 문태준 시의 ‘살아 있는 장소의 시 학’을 제안한다. 이 제안은 기존의 개인적 서정을 넘어, 존재와 시간, 세계의 리듬을 감각하고 탐구하는 새로운 시학적 실험의 지평을 확장하며, 한국 현대시 비평의 패러다임 변화를 가능하게 함을 시사한다. 특히 자아와 세계, 타 자와의 미묘한 긴장과 조화 속에서 시적 상상력의 창조적 발현을 탐색함 으로써 문태준 시학의 독자성과 혁신성을 부각한다. 본 연구는 문태준 시의 공간미학을 통해 한국 현대시 연구에 새로운 해석 방향을 제시함과 동시에, 시적 장소성에 대한 다층적 사유가 문학비 평 전반에 기여할 수 있는 가능성을 밝히는 데 의의가 있다.
