This is the proofreading, translation, and commentary of Miscellaneous words and trifles(謏聞錄) 3, following the proofreading, translation, and commentary of Miscellaneous words and trifles(謏聞錄) 1 and 2. With this, proofreading, translation, and commentary for the entire Miscellaneous words and trifles has been completed. However, unlike the original text of the proofreading, translation, and commentary of Miscellaneous words and trifles(謏聞錄) 1 and 2, the original text of Miscellaneous words and trifles edited by Lee, Woo-seong(李佑成) has been handed down, include ⓐ Jo, Wi(曺偉)’s Maegyechonghwa(梅溪叢話), ⓑ Nam Hyo-on’s Chugangnaenghwa(秋江冷話), ⓒ Choe bu’s Pyohaerok(漂海錄), are included. In order to avoid duplication and confusion, this was excluded in this translation and only the unique articles of Miscellaneous words and trifles was translated. The content of some of ⓐⓑⓒ in each text is as follows. First, some of the content of ⓐⓑⓒ is included in ① Miscellaneous words and trifles edited by Lee, Woo-seong, ② Miscellaneous words and trifles owned by Dongyang Bookstore in Japan. Next, the content pattern of the Hangogwanoesa(寒皐觀外史) series is as follows. ③ A part of ⓒ and a very small part of ⓑ are included in Miscellaneous words and trifles in Hangogwanoesa edited and commented on by Kim, Ryeo(金鑢). ④ A part of ⓒ is included in Miscellaneous words and trifles included in paerim(稗 林) by an unknown editor. ⑤ A part of ⓒ is also included in Miscellaneous words and trifles in Jeonggadangbon Daedongpaerim(靜嘉堂本 大東稗林) compiled by Sim, Ro-sung(沈魯崇). In the case of ③, it seems that they intended to leave ⓐⓒ and exclude only ⓑ, and in the case of ④⑤, it is thought that the entire first half of the lower volume of the Seobyeokoesa(栖碧外史) series was mistaken for ⓐⓑ and excluded. For this reason, when performing the proofreading, translation, and commentary, the first half of the lower volume of the Seobyeokoesa series and the third volume of the Hangogwanoesa series were utilized in addition to ①②/③ in the Jeonggadangbon Daedongpaerim(vol. 20) edited by Sim, Ro-sung(pp. 433~496), which includes most of the contents of the third volume. Of course, the latter half of the lower volume of the Seobyeokoesa series and the fourth volume of the Hangogwanoesa series could be translated and commented using all five original texts. By translating the article and adding commentary to aid clear understanding, we obtained the following results. First of all, the two series have different ways of dividing paragraphs, so the total number of articles is also different. There are some differences within each series, but since the differences are not significant or seem to be obvious mistakes, we will ignore them and present the total number of articles included in the original texts representing the series as follows. the total number of articles in the Seobyeokoesa series was 73, and the total number of articles in the Hangogwanoesa series was 80. Next, if we break down the entire article a little more, the records about events are 38 articles for articles(based on 80 articles, same applies hereinafter), the records about people are 8, and the records about things are 34. Lastly, the articles composed of narrative description were 21, the articles composed of thematic description were 59, and the total number of note on poetry was 28 paragraphs. The results of this proofreading, translation, and commentary of Miscellaneous words and trifles are expected to contribute to future miscellanies research as well as to understanding the Pre-modern politics, economy, society, and culture.

본고는 『謏聞琐錄』 校勘ㆍ譯註 1ㆍ2에 이은 『謏聞琐錄』 校勘ㆍ譯註 3이다. 이로써 『謏聞琐錄』 전체의 校勘ㆍ譯註가 완료되었다. 다만 교감ㆍ역주 1ㆍ2의 臺本과 달리, 栖 碧外史本 계열과 寒皐觀外史 계열의 해당 대본에는 『소문쇄록』 이외에 ⓐ 曺偉의 『梅溪叢話』, ⓑ 南孝溫의 『秋江冷話』(『謏聞琐錄』의 술어로는 『秋江冷語』), ⓒ 崔溥의 『漂海錄』(『謏聞琐錄』의 술어로는 『漂流記』) 등이 교감ㆍ역주의 대본에 일부 포함되어 있다. 본 교감ㆍ역주 3에서는 繁重을 피하고자 이를 제외한 뒤 『소문쇄록』의 고유한 기사만 교감․역주했다. 각 대본에 전하는 ⓐⓑⓒ 일부 내용의 수록 양상은 다음과 같다. 우선, 서벽외사본 계열인 ① 李佑成編 『謏聞琐錄(外一種)』(이하 서벽외사본), ② 일본 동양문고 소장본 『謏聞琐錄』(이하 동양문고본) 등에는 ⓐⓑⓒ의 일부 내용이 모두 수록되어 있다. 다음 으로, 한고관외사본 계열의 수록 양상은 이렇다. ③ 金鑢 編 『寒皐觀外史』(이하 한고관 외사본)에는 ⓐⓒ의 일부와 ⓑ의 극히 일부가 수록되어 있다. ④ 편자 미상의 『稗林(第五 輯)』(이하 패림본)에는 ⓒ의 일부가 수록되어 있다. ⑤ 沈魯崇 編 『靜嘉堂本 大東稗林(二 十八卷)』(이하 대동패림본)에도 ⓒ의 일부가 수록되어 있다. ③의 경우 ⓐⓒ는 남겨두고 ⓑ만을 제외하려 한 의도가 보이고, ④⑤의 경우 3권, 즉 서벽외사본 계열로는 下卷의 전반부 전체를 ⓐⓑ라 오인하여 제외한 것으로 생각된다. 이 때문에 교감․역주를 실행하면서 서벽외사본 계열의 하권 전반부이자, 한고관외사본 계열의 3권 부분은 ①②/③에 더하여 3권의 내용 대부분이 수록된 沈魯崇 編 『靜嘉堂本大東稗林(二十卷)』(433~496면)을 활용했다. 물론 서벽외사본 계열의 하권 후반부이자 한고관외사본 계열의 4권은 다섯 종의 대본을 모두 활용하여 교감․역주할 수 있었다. 기사의 字句를 교감하여 번역하고, 분명한 이해를 돕는 주석을 병기한 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 얻게 되었다. 우선, 두 계열이 단락을 구분한 방식이 달라서 전체 기사의 수량 역시 차이가 난다. 각 계열 내에서도 일정한 차이가 있지만, 차이가 크지 않거나 명백한 실수로 보이므로 고려하지 않고, 계열을 대표하는 대본에 수록된 전체 기사의 수를 제시하면 다음과 같다. 서벽외사본 계열 총 73則, 한고관외사본 계열 총 80則. 다음 으로, 전체 기사를 조금 더 세분화해 보면, 記事에 해당하는 항목이 38則(80則 기준ㆍ이하 동일), 記人은 8則, 記物의 경우 34則이었다. 마지막으로, 敍事로 구성한 기사가 21則, 敎述의 성격을 띤 기사가 59則이었으며, 이 중에서 詩話는 모두 28則이었다. 본 교감ㆍ주석의 결과가 향후 筆記 연구는 물론, 전근대 정치ㆍ경제ㆍ사회ㆍ문화를 이 해하는 데에도 기여할 것으로 기대한다.
