Songdam(松潭) is a prominet Seon(禪) master who represents Korean Buddhism. Songdam as a dharma successor to Jeon-Kang(田岡), he is the 78th lineal dharma heir of Shakyamuni Buddan, inheriting the traditional dharma lineage that extends from Geong-Heo(鏡虛) to Man-Hong(滿空) and then to Jeon-Kang. Through his dharma talks, Songdam imparts teachings on Seon, with a particular emphasis on Hwalgu Seon(活句參禪) among the various Seonbeob(禪法).
