Korean classical poetry (Gojun-siga) has been continuously reinterpreted across various genres over time, based on its inherent artistic value. This study examines the contemporary transformations of three love-themed classical poems-Jeongeupsa, Ssanghwajeom, and Sarang Geojutmari-highlighting how they reflect differing historical contexts and emotional expressions while sharing a common thematic focus on love. The research analyzes how these classical poems have been reimagined as cultural content, exploring their potential for adaptation in modern media. In today’s environment of global content dissemination and active audience engagement through platforms such as YouTube and TikTok, classical poetry demonstrates substantial potential to be transformed into creative content that resonates with contemporary sensibilities. The findings suggest that classical poetry serves as a foundational resource that can be combined with diverse media, requiring creative storytelling strategies tailored to both medium and audience. Modern reinterpretations, grounded in a deep understanding of original texts and historical sentiment, enable the integration of tradition and modernity as well as local and global perspectives, ensuring both sustainability and broad appeal as cultural assets. The study concludes that ongoing research and practical applications of classical poetry are essential for reinforcing the cultural identity and competitiveness of Korean culture while expanding its artistic and cultural value.

고전시가는 그 원형이 지닌 예술적 가치를 바탕으로 오랜 시간 다양한 장르에서 지속적으로 재해석되어 왔다. 본 연구는 시대별 고전시가 중 남녀 간 사랑을 주 제로 한 <정읍사>, <쌍화점>, <사랑 거즛말이>의 현대적 변용 양상을 고찰하였다. 이들 작품은 서로 다른 시대적 배경과 정서를 반영하며 표현 방식에는 차이를 보이지만, 인간의 보편적 감정인 ‘사랑’을 주제로 하고 있다는 점에서 공통된 정서적 기반을 지닌다. 본 연구는 이들 고전시가가 시대적 정서와 어떻게 결합하여 문 화콘텐츠로 재창조되고 있는지를 분석하고, 나아가 고전시가의 문화콘텐츠화 가능성과 그 방향성을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. 오늘날은 다양한 채널을 통해 대중 과의 소통이 활발히 이루어지고 있으며, 콘텐츠의 글로벌화 또한 가속화되고 있다. ‘한류’의 세계적 확산 속에서 고전시가는 단순한 문화유산을 넘어, 현대적 감성 과 결합한 창의적 콘텐츠로 변용될 수 있는 높은 잠재력을 지닌다. 연구 결과, 고전시가는 인간 보편 정서와 예술적 구조를 기반으로 다양한 콘텐츠와 결합 가능한 원천 자산이며, 이를 위해 매체와 수용자 특성에 맞춘 창의적 스토리텔링 전략이 필요하다. 또한 원 텍스트와 시대 정서에 대한 깊은 이해를 바탕으로 한 현대적 재 해석을 통해 전통과 현대, 지역성과 세계성을 아우르는 융합을 실현하고, 나아가 문화 자산으로서의 지속 가능성과 대중성을 동시에 확보할 수 있다. 고전시가는 현대적 재해석과 콘텐츠화 과정을 통해 전통의 가치를 새롭게 조명하고, 한국 문화의 정체성과 경쟁력을 강화하는 핵심 자원이다. 따라서 문화 산업의 발전과 지속 가능성을 위해 고전시가에 대한 꾸준한 연구와 실천이 필수적이다. 본 연구를 통해 고전시가가 지닌 고유의 예술성과 정서를 재조명하고, 지속적인 연구와 실천을 통해 그 문화적 가치를 확장해 나가는 데 기여하고자 한다.
