This study is a qualitative study to explore the nature and meaning of patient safety through clinical practice for nursing students. In this study, 20 students who were 4th graders of a university in D, Gyeongsangbuk-do who had clinical practice experience and completed contents related to patient safety accidents before practice were targeted. Data collection was made through free-form reports and interviews that allowed them to understand the phenomenon of patient safety accidents experienced through clinical practice. The collected data were analyzed using Kripendorff's phenomenological method. As a result of analyzing the meaning of nursing through patient safety accidents through clinical practice, 5 categories, 13 topics, and 36 meaningful statements were derived. The five categories were derived as 'moment of fear', 'safety in basic nursing', 'nursing of common safety', 'nursing from rejection to acceptance', and 'interval nursing'. As a result of this study, nursing students showed a lot of fear and fear in patient safety nursing, which were learned through observation of clinical practice, and this was seeking community cooperation in nursing and establishment of a policy system. This is expected to be used as basic data in developing various policies and programs for patient safety accidents in the future.

본 연구는 간호학과 4학년을 대상으로 임상실습을 통해 환자안전의 본질과 안전 속에서의 간호를 파악해 보는 질적 연구이다. 본 연구에서는 경상북도 D시 일개 대학 4학년의 간호학생으로 임상실습의 경험이 있는 4학년으로 실 습 전 환자안전사고와 관련된 내용을 이수한 20명의 학생을 대상으로 하였다. 자료 수집은 임상실습을 통해 경험한 환자안전사고의 현상을 간호의 부분을 파악하여 직접 기술하는 형식의 보고서와 성찰일지를 통하여 작성하도록 하였 다. 수집된 자료는 Krippendorff의 현상학적 방법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 임상실습을 통한 환자안전사고를 통한 간 호 의미를 분석한 결과 5개 범주, 13개 주제, 36개 의미 있는 진술로 도출되었다. 5개의 범주는 ‘공포의 순간’, ‘기초 의 간호에서의 안전’, ‘공동의 안전의 간호’,‘거부에서 수용으로의 간호’,‘간격의 간호’로 도출되었다. 본 연구결과 간호 학생들은 임상실습의 관찰을 통해서 알게 되는 환자안전간호에도 많은 공포와 두려움을 나타내고 있었고, 이에 간호 의 공동체의 협력과 정책의 시스템 구축을 강구하고 있었다. 이는 추후 다양한 정책과 환자안전사고의 프로그램을 개 발하는데 기초자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.
