This study aims to strengthen its design competitiveness by creatively applying the formative characteristics of traditional cultural artifacts to the design of modern jewelry. To this end, historical relics analyzed the formative characteristics by era, extracted the patterns and patterns of artifacts that can be used for jewelry design, and reinterpreted them in a modern sense, and reflected them in the design process. In the research process, the Sacred Bell of Seongdeok was selected as a representative design concept. The Rhino CAD program was used to develop visual designs and the final design development was carried out through rendering simulation. The final design proposal will be briefly identified and suggested as a focus on future design. We aim to make a real contribution to creating original and competitive ornaments by combining the formative characteristics of traditional artifacts with modern design, and by presenting a way to reinterpret the traditional culture into a modern formative language and sublimates it into practical design elements, cultural value of cultural value beyond simple cultural property reproduction. In terms of expansion, meaningful results were also drawn. These attempts can be an important milestone in exploring design directions for tradition and modernity to coexist in harmony, and suggest a variety of applications not only in the jewelry industry but also in the cultural contents industry.

본 연구는 전통문화 유물의 조형적인 특성을 현대 장신구 디자인에 창의적으로 적용하여 디자인 경쟁력을 강화하는 것 을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 역사적 유물을 시대별로 조형적 특성을 분석하고, 장신구 디자인에 활용할 수 있는 유물의 문양 과 패턴을 추출하여 현대적 감각으로 재해석하여 이를 디자인 프로세스에 반영하였다. 연구 과정에서는 국보인 성덕대왕신종을 대표적인 디자인 컨셉의 대상으로 선정하여 이를 바탕으로 장신구 디자인을 진행하였다. Rhino CAD 프로그램을 활용하여 시 각적 디자인을 개발하고, 렌더링 시뮬레이션을 통해 최종 디자인 개발을 수행하였다. 최종 디자인 시안을 통해 디자인의 호감 도를 간략하게 파악하여 향후 디자인의 중점적인 연구과제로 제안한다. 우리는 전통 유물의 조형적 특성을 현대적 디자인과 융 합함으로써 독창적이고 경쟁력 있는 장신구 디자인을 창출하는 데 실질적인 기여를 하고자 하며, 아울러 전통문화를 현대적 조 형 언어로 재해석하여 실용적인 디자인 요소로 승화시키는 방안을 제시함으로써, 단순한 문화재 재현을 넘어선 문화적 가치의 확장이라는 측면에서도 의미 있는 성과를 도출하였다. 이러한 시도는 앞으로 전통과 현대가 조화롭게 공존할 수 있는 디자인 방향을 모색하는 데 있어 중요한 이정표가 될 수 있으며, 장신구 산업뿐만 아니라 문화콘텐츠 산업 전반에 걸쳐 다양한 응용 가능성을 제시한다.
