This study investigates the differences in how teachers and students perceive the use of ChatGPT, referring to the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). While ChatGPT is being integrated into education, there is a lack of comparative studies within the context of secondary education. To address this gap, a mixed-methods survey was administered to 390 participants from an international school in South Korea. This survey gathered data on ChatGPT usage, perceived advantages, disadvantages, and perceptions, which were then processed through a frequency analysis and a t-test. In contrast to previous studies, the results revealed that teachers had a significantly more positive perception of ChatGPT than the students. Notably, teachers found ChatGPT more helpful in completing school-related tasks, wanted to continue using ChatGPT, were satisfied with the information provided, and thought they used ChatGPT ethically. Based on the results, the study suggests that these differences arose from various contexts that underlie each individual’s use of ChatGPT.

본 연구는 ChatGPT의 교육적 활용에 대한 교사와 학생의 인식 차이를 기술수용모형(Technology Acceptance Model, TAM)을 토대로 탐구하였다. 최근 ChatGPT가 교육 현장에 빠르게 확산되고 있으나, 중등교 육 맥락에서 교사와 학생을 비교한 실증적 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 이를 위해 인천소재　C국제학교 중등 교육 과정에 재직 중인 교사와 학생 390명을 대상으로 ChatGPT 활용 및 인식에　대한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문은 ChatGPT 사용 경험, 인식된 장점과 단점, 그리고 TAM 요인을 적용한 활용 태도 및 의도에 관한 문항 으로 구성되었으며, 수집된 자료는 빈도분석과 t-검정을 통해 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 교사 집단은 학생 집단보 다 ChatGPT 활용에 대해 유의하게 긍정적인 인식을 보였다. 특히 교사들은 ChatGPT가 학교 업무에 도움이 되 며, 지속적 활용 의지와 정보 신뢰성, 윤리적 사용에 대해서도 높은 긍정적 태도를 나타냈다. 이러한 결과는 교 사와 학생의 인식 차이가 교육적 맥락과 ICT 활용 경험의 차이에서 비롯됨을 시사하며, 향후 AI 활용 교육 방법 및 정책 수립을 위한 함의를 제공한다．
