The purpose of this study is to study the music creation class plan for the free semester art activity in middle school. To this end, the researcher organized the concept, necessity and demand, and the reality of the free semester system as theoretical background. In addition, the researcher examined the concept and necessity of music creation classes and the reality of music creation classes. Based on this, as a result of the research, a creative class that can be applied to actual free semester art activities was designed for 8 classes by referring to the TMSI model, and a teaching plan was presented. It is believed that this class plan can be usefully used not only in the free semester art activity in middle school, but also as a method for regular music creation classes, and it is expected to help improve music classes.

이 연구의 목적은 중학교 자유학기제 예술활동 음악창작 수업방안을 연구하는 것이다. 이를 위해 연구자는 이론적 배경으로 자유학기제의 개념, 필요와 요구, 자유학기제의 실제에 대해 정 리하였다. 또한 음악창작 수업의 개념과 필요성, 음악창작 수업의 실제에 대해 고찰하였다. 이를 바탕으로 한 연구결과로서 실제 자유학기제 예술활동에 적용할 수 있는 창작수업을 TMSI 모형 을 참고하여 8차시의 수업을 설계하였고, 지도안을 제시하였다. 이 수업방안이 중학교 자유학기 제 예술활동에서 뿐만 아니라, 평소 음악창작 수업의 방법으로도 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으 로 사료되며, 음악 수업 개선에 도움을 주기를 기대한다.
