The Christian gospel is the story of God's love and compassion. The gospel is concerned not only with the spiritual dimension but also with the social and ethical dimension. Christianity cannot experience and form the true history of the gospel without social relevance and relevance to the world. Therefore, Christianity must not neglect its work of becoming the conscience of humanity and society. Being the conscience of humanity and society also implies standing on the side of those who are lost. In this context, for Christians to be indifferent to or ignore those who suffer is tantamount to participating in the destruction of God's oikos(house). The purpose of this paper is to elucidate the importance and practical significance of compassion as a participation in God’s pleroma. First, the relationship between compassion and the gospel as a participation in God's pleroma is revealed through the history of early Christianity. Furthermore, it is revealed that Christians and communities filled with God's pleroma, that is, God’s power and personality, harmoniously form a disposition and life of unity in their relationship with God, a disposition and life of harmony in their socio-historical situation, a disposition and life of compassion in their relationship with their neighbors, and a disposition and life of power in their relationship with the world. After elucidating the integral structure and life of participation in God's pleroma, that is, the integral nature of congeniality, compatibility, compassion and competence, we discuss the meaning and horizon of compassion in detail. Furthermore, as a practical meaning of the compassion ministry of Christians and the Church, we present compassion as a movement to restore the image of God, compassion as participation in God's justice, compassion as a way to overcome militant hatred, and offerings as participation in God's compassion. Furthermore, it is emphasized that the suffering of humanity and the world occurs in various areas and in various forms, and therefore, change and healing of humanity and the world are not possible without a comprehensive understanding of the ministry of compassion. In other words, a life that values and respects the dynamic research of experts in various fields who do their best to alleviate and heal the suffering of humans and the world is also a valuable path to compassionate ministry.

기독교 복음은 하나님의 사랑과 연민의 역사다. 복음은 영적 차원뿐 아니라 사회 윤리적 차원과도 관계된다. 기독교는 사회적 연관성, 세계 와의 관련성 없이 진정한 복음의 역사를 경험하며 형성할 수 없다. 따 라서 기독교는 인류와 사회의 양심이 되는 일을 게을리해서는 안 된다. 인류와 사회의 양심이 된다는 것은 유리하며 방황하는 사람들의 편에 선다는 의미도 내포한다. 이와 같은 맥락에서 기독교가 고통받는 사람 들에게 무관심하거나 그대로 놔두는 것은 하나님의 오이코스(oikos, 집)를 파괴하는 일에 동참하는 것과 같다. 본 고는 하나님의 프레로마의 참여로서 연민의 중요성과 실천적 의 미를 밝히는 데 목적이 있다. 먼저 하나님의 플레로마의 참여로서 연민 과 복음의 관계를 초기 기독교 역사를 통해 밝힌다. 기독교는 그레코- 로만 사회에서 종교와 윤리를 결부시킴으로써 기독교의 세계화에 중요 한 원동력이 되었을 뿐만 아니라 인류애도 크게 공헌하였음을 밝힌다. 나아가 하나님의 플레로마, 즉 하나님의 능력과 인격성으로 가득한 그 리스도인과 공동체는 하나님과의 관계에서는 합치의 성향과 삶, 사회- 역사적인 상황 속에서는 융화의 성향과 삶, 이웃과의 관계에서는 연민 의 성향과 삶, 그리고 세계와의 관계에서는 역량의 성향과 삶을 조화롭게 형성한다는 것을 밝힌다. 하나님의 플레로마에의 참여의 통전적 구조와 삶, 즉 합치, 융화, 연 민, 역량의 통전성을 밝힌 후에 연민의 의미와 지평을 구체적으로 논한 다. 나아가 그리스도인과 교회의 연민 사역의 실천적 의미로서 하나님 의 형상 회복 운동으로 연민, 하나님 정의의 참여로서 연민, 투사적 혐 오 극복의 길로서 연민, 하나님의 연민에의 참여로서 헌금을 제시한다. 또한 인간과 세계의 고난은 다양한 영역에서 다양한 모습으로 발생하 고 있으므로 연민 사역의 포괄적 이해 없이 인간과 세계의 변화와 치유 는 가능하지 않음을 강조한다. 즉, 인간과 세계의 고통을 완화하고 치 유하기 위해 다양한 분야에서 최선을 다하는 전문가들의 역동적 연구 를 소중히 여기며 존중하는 삶도 연민 사역의 소중한 길이다.
