This study aimed to examine the challenges and needs faced by Chinese international students participating in Korea's specialized nursing programs and to propose support measures to enhance their global competence. Using Colaizzi's phenomenological analysis, the study provided an in-depth examination of the essence of the academic, cultural, and emotional adaptation experiences of international students. The results revealed that students struggled with academic performance and social integration due to language barriers and cultural differences, experiencing emotional anxiety and isolation. Simultaneously, they expressed a strong desire for learning and self-development as global talents. Based on these findings, the study suggested that Korean universities should provide tailored language support, cultural exchange programs, career counseling, and psychological support programs for international students. By presenting practical operational strategies to improve academic achievement and emotional satisfaction among international students, this study contributes to strengthening the international competitiveness of Korean higher education.

본 연구는 한국 간호학 전공심화 과정에 참여하는 중국 유학생들이 학업 및 생활에서 겪는 어려움과 요구를 탐구하고, 글로벌 역량을 강화할 수 있는 지원 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구는 Colaizzi의 현상학적 분석을 통해 유학생들이 경험하는 학문적, 문화적, 정서적 적응의 본질을 심층적으로 분석하였 다. 연구 결과, 유학생들은 언어 장벽과 문화적 차이로 인해 학업 수행과 사회적 통합에서 어려움을 겪고 있었으며, 정서적 불안과 고립감을 경험하고 있었다. 동시에 이들은 글로벌 인재로 성장하기 위한 학습과 자아 개발에 대한 높은 열망을 가지고 있었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로, 한국 대학이 외국인 유학생을 위해 맞춤형 언어 지원, 문화 교류 프로그램, 진로 상담 및 심리적 지원 프로그램을 제공하는 것이 필요함을 제안하였다. 본 연구는 외국인 유학생의 학업 성취와 정서적 만족도를 높일 수 있는 실질적인 운영 방안을 제시함으로써, 한국 고등교육의 국제 경쟁력 강화에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
