This paper aims to explore the meaning of “Holy Mother Han” based on the True Parents Theory by examining the terms Holy, Mother, and Han individually. First, “Holy” signifies that True Mother is the Only Begotten Daughter. Just as the Only Begotten Son is referred to as the Holy Son, the OBD may be called the Holy Daughter. Second, “Mother” indicates that True Mother is mother of all humanity. More fundamentally, it also denotes the substantial embodiment or the earthly manifestation of Heavenly Mother. Heavenly Mother, who had remained hidden until now, was revealed on earth for the first time through the OBD. Third, the name “Han(韓)” carries providential significance. Heavenly Parent chose the Korean people, who originated from the Eastern Han dynasty, separately from the Jewish people, in the providence of a new creation. Heavenly Parent also prepared for the birth of the OBD within the Han lineage, giving her the surname Han.

본 논문은 참부모론을 바탕으로 ‘홀리 마더 한(Holy Mother Han)’에 대해 알아보는 데 목적을 두며, ‘홀리(Holy)’와 ‘마더(Mother)’와 ‘한(韓)’으로 분절하여 각각에 대해 살펴보는 방식으로 그 의미를 고찰하였다. ‘홀리(Holy)’는 참어머님이 ‘독생녀’이심을 암시한다. 독생자 예수님이 성자(Holy Son)로 불리는 것처럼, 독생녀 참어머님은 성녀(Holy Daughter)로 불릴 수 있기 때문이다. ‘마더(Mother)’는 참어머님이 ‘온 인류의 참된 어머니’이심을 의미하며, 더 근본적으로는 ‘하늘어머니의 실체’ 또는 ‘하늘어머니의 지상현현’을 의미한다. 그동안 은폐 되어 있었던 하늘어머니가 독생녀를 통해 최초로 지상에 드러나게 된 것이다. 또한 ‘한(韓)’은 하늘부모님이 ‘새 창조’의 섭리 가운데서 유대민족과 별도로 동양의 한씨 왕조를 기원으로 하는 한민족을 선택하셨다는 점, 특별히 한씨 가문에서 한씨 성을 가지고 독생녀가 탄생하도록 준비하셨다는 점에서 섭리적 가치가 부여된다.
