This study empirically explored the correlation between researchers' moral identity and research ethics awareness through an online survey. The study participants were 532 researchers aged 20 or older who had received at least two hours of online or offline research ethics training within the past three years. Data analysis utilized structural equation modeling (Structured Equation Modeling, SEM), and the internalization factor of moral identity was found to have a statistically significant positive (+) influence on all sub-factors of research ethics awareness (fairness, honesty, respect, and responsibility). This finding suggests that research ethics education should move beyond simply conveying knowledge or norms about research ethics and instead focus on promoting the development of researchers' moral identity (particularly internalization).

본 연구는 온라인 설문조사를 통해 연구자의 도덕적 정체성과 연구 윤리 의식 간의 상관관계를 실증적으로 탐구하였다. 연구 참여자는 20 대 이상 연구자로 최근 3년 이내에 온라인 또는 오프라인 연구윤리 교 육을 2시간 이상 받은 532명이었다. 데이터 분석은 구조방정식 모형 (Structural Equation Modeling)을 활용하였고 도덕적 정체성의 내면화 요인은 연구윤리 의식의 모든 하위 요인(공정성, 정직성, 존중성, 책임 성)에 통계적으로 유의미한 양(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 연구윤리 교육은 연구윤리 지식이나 규범을 단순히 전달하 는 방식에서 벗어나 연구자의 도덕적 정체성(특히 내면화)의 발달을 촉진하는 접근이 강화될 필요가 있다는 발견할 수 있었다.
