This study examines how perceived social exclusion among multicultural single-parent household heads affects their children's internet and smartphone use, focusing on the dual mediating roles of parental depression, parent-child conversation time, and shared leisure activities. Using data from 1,933 respondents from the 2021 National Multicultural Family Survey, structural equation modeling was conducted. The findings indicate that social exclusion indirectly increases children's media use through heightened parental depression and reduced conversation time. While shared leisure activities were negatively affected by social exclusion and depression, they did not directly influence children's media use. These results highlight the importance of emotional stability and daily interaction in regulating children's digital media behavior. Policy and practice should reflect the intersectional vulnerabilities of multicultural single-parent families through integrated psychosocial support and targeted intervention programs.

본 연구는 다문화 한부모 가구주의 사회적 배제 경험이 자녀의 인터넷⸱스마트폰 사용에 미치는 영향을 구조적으로 규명하고, 이 과정에서 가구주의 우울, 자녀와의 대화 시간 및 여가활동의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2021년 전국 다문화가 족 실태조사 자료 중 미성년 자녀를 둔 다문화 한부모 가구주 1,933명의 데이터를 활용 하여 구조방정식모형(SEM) 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 사회적 배제는 가구 주의 우울을 매개로 자녀의 미디어 사용에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 이중 매개 경로가 확인되었다. 특히 가구주의 우울은 자녀와의 대화시간을 감소시켜 자녀의 미디어 사용 증가에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자녀와의 여가활동은 사회적 배제와 우울 의 영향을 일부 받았으나, 자녀의 미디어 사용과는 직접적 관련성이 낮은 것으로 분석 되었다. 이러한 결과는 부모의 정서적 안정 뿐 아니라 부모와 자녀 간의 일상적 상호작 용이 자녀의 미디어 사용에 영향을 미친다는 점을 시시하며, 이를 바탕으로 다문화 한 부모 가구의 사회적 배제가 자녀의 미디어 사용에 미치는 영향을 감소시키기 위한 실 천적⸱정책적 제언을 하였다.
