This study examines the vocabulary related to food and clothing found in three Korean-language royal inventories (balgi) associated with Princess Deokon of the late Joseon Dynasty. These documents, created in 1837 and 1845, were compiled when Queen Sunwon bestowed wedding gifts and ritual food items upon Princess Deokon and her husband, Yun Ui-seon. As handwritten practical documents, these balgi clearly identify the sender, recipient, and date of composition. The analysis categorizes the vocabulary according to semantic domains and examines linguistic features such as word origin, word formation processes, hierarchical lexical relationships, and paradigmatic sequencing. The findings reveal a rich mixture of native Korean words, Sino-Korean words, hybrid forms, and phonetic loans. The vocabulary is systematically constructed, particularly in relation to culinary ingredients and clothing components. In terms of orthography, the documents exhibit transitional features of 19th-century Korean, including instances of fused spelling (jungcheol), palatalization, and phonetic transcription. These features provide meaningful insight into phonological and morphological changes during the transition from Early Modern Korean to Contemporary Korean.

본고는 조선 후기 덕온공주와 관련하여 작성된 세 건의 국문 왕실 발기를 대상으로, 그 안에 나타난 복식 및 음식 관련 어휘를 국어학적으로 고찰한 것이다. 이들 발기 문서는 1837년과 1845년에 순원왕후가 덕온공주와 그 사위 윤의선에게 각각 혼수물과 제수 음 식을 하사하며 작성한 것으로, 국문 필사본 형태로 전해진다. 수신자, 발신자, 작성 시점이 명확하게 드러나는 실용 문서로서의 성격을 지닌다. 본 연구에서는 해당 문서에 수록된 어휘를 의미 영역별로 분류하고, 어종별 양상, 조어 법, 상하위어 체계, 계열적 배열 등을 종합적으로 분석하였다. 발기 속 어휘들은 고유어, 한자어, 혼성어, 음차어 등 다양한 어종이 혼재되어 있었으며, 조리 재료와 복식 부위를 중심으로 어휘가 체계적으로 조어되고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 표기법 측면에서는 중철, 구개음화, 음차 표기 등 19세기 국어의 과도기적 특징들 이 뚜렷하게 나타났으며, 이는 현대 국어로 이행하는 과정에서의 다양한 음운 및 형태 변화의 단서를 제공한다는 점에서 의의가 크다.
