This study aimed to analyze the influence of career barriers of the middle-aged and older generation on career adaptability and the mediating effect of job-seeking efficacy. The subjects of the study were 427 middle-aged and older people living in the metropolitan area. Based on the collected data, the research results were presented using SPSS 25.0. First, career barriers of the middle-aged and older generation had a negative effect on job-seeking efficacy. Second, career barriers of the middle-aged and older generation had a negative effect on career adaptability. Third, job-seeking efficacy of the middle-aged and older generation had a positive effect on career adaptability. Fourth, career barriers of the middle-aged and older generation had a positive effect on career adaptability by negatively mediating job-seeking efficacy. Based on these research results, practical and policy measures for reemployment of the middle-aged and older generation were discussed and presented.

본 연구는 중장년층의 진로장벽이 진로적응성에 미치는 영향과 구직효능감의 매개효과를 분석하고자 하였다. 연구의 대상은 수도권 지역에 거주하는 중장년층 427명을 대상으로 수집된 자료를 바탕으로 SPSS 25.0을 활용하여 연구결과를 제 시하였다. 첫째, 중장년층의 진로장벽은 구직효능감에 부(-)의 방향으로 영향을 미쳤으며, 둘째, 중장년층의 진로장벽은 진로 적응성에 부(-)의 방향으로 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 중장년층의 구직효능감은 진로적응성에 정(+)의 방향으로 영향을 미쳤으며, 넷째, 중장년층의 진로장벽은 구직효능감을 부(-)적으로 매개하여 진로적응성에 정(+)적인 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 중장년층의 재취업을 위한 실천적･정책적 방안에 대해 논의하여 제시하였다.
