This study is aimed the court powers based on their diaries, and through this, attempts to shed light on one aspect of the court and politics in the early days of Emperor Showa’s reign. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the political functions of the court powers in the face of the young monarch’s support during this period of transition from Taisho to Showa due to the emperor’s enthronement. It can be said that the court powers during the period of the Tanaka cabinet’s resignation after the enthronement of Emperor Showa basically maintained a mutually cooperative relationship. Saionji maintained a close relationship with Makino and attempted to support Emperor Showa. Makino also seems to have preferred building a mutually cooperative relationship over a vertical, unilateral decision-making method. Makino’s supportive attitude was to understand the Emperor Showa’s intentions, not reject them but prioritize and respect them, and to strive to implement them. Unlike Makino, Nara did not get involved in political issues and kept its distance.

이 논문에서는 궁중세력을 대상으로 그들의 일기를 중심으로 분석하여, 이를 통해 쇼와천황 재위 초기의 궁중과 정치의 한 단면을 해명하고자 하였다. 천황의 즉위로 다이쇼에서 쇼와로 이행된 이 시기, 젊은 군주 보필에 직면한 궁중세력이 어떠한 대응과 역할을 수행하는지 그 정치적 기능을 분석하는 것을 이 논문의 목적으로 한다. 먼저 쇼와천황 즉위에 따라 구축된 궁중세력을, 제도적으로 살펴보았다. 두 번째는 즉위한 젊은 천황 보필에 부심하는 궁중세력을 각 직위별로 살펴보았다. 세 번째는 나라 다케지 시종무관장을 중심으로 궁중의 통수에의 대처 행태를 살펴보았다. 다나카수상의 경질문제에 대해 기존의 연구에서는 천황의 관점에서 파악하였다. 그러나 그 대척점에 있는 상대화한 다나카의 입장에서 바라보면, 다나카의 태도는 하나는 육군의 입장을 대변하는 것이며, 또 하나는 병약한 다이쇼천황과 젊은 섭정을 경험하며 절대적 권위가 부재한 군주로서 쇼와천황을 인식한 결과로 볼 수 있다. 결과적으로 천황 즉위 초기, 궁중세력은 히로히토를 군주로서의 각성을 촉진시켜 천황의 존재를 쇼와 정치공간의 전면에 내세우는 촉진제로 기능하였다고 할 수 있다.

この論文では宮中勢力を対象に、彼らの日記を中心に分析し、これを通じて昭和天皇の在位初期の宮中と政治の一断面を解明しようとした。天皇の即位で大正から昭和に移行したこの時期、若い君主輔弼に直面した宮中勢力がどのような対応と役割を果たすのか、その政治的機能を分析することをこの論文の目的とする。 昭和天皇即位以降、田中内閣が総辞職する時期の宮中勢力は基本的に相互協力的な関係を堅持したといえる。 元老西園寺は内大臣牧野との緊密な関係を維持し、昭和天皇を支えようとした。また、内大臣牧野も上からの従属的な一方的な意思決定方式よりも、相互協力的な関係構築を好んだようだ。 内大臣牧野の輔弼姿勢は昭和天皇の意重を計り、その意を排除せずに最優先し、尊重し、それを実行するよう努力した。 一方、侍従武官長奈良は牧野と違って、政治問題には関わらず距離を置いた。
