Graduates from vocational high schools often face structural disadvantages in the labor market compared to their peers with higher educational attainment. This study adopts the concept of “decent work,” defined as the minimum qualitative standard based on the assurance of fundamental rights, to examine how students’ perceptions of teacher relationships and satisfaction with school-based employment support influence their access to decent work. Furthermore, this study investigates the mediating roles of psychological characteristics, specifically self-efficacy and career maturity, in these relationships. For empirical analysis, data from the second and third waves of the KEEPII, provided by the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training, were used, with a final sample of 942 employed graduates from vocational high schools (including specialized and Meister high schools). Descriptive statistics were conducted using SPSS 29.0.1, and path analysis was performed using Mplus 8.11. The results revealed that school type had a significant effect on decent work. All key variables showed significant positive direct effects. Notably, self-efficacy and career maturity significantly mediated the relationships between teacher relationships/employment support satisfaction and decent work. In addition, the sequential mediation effects of these two psychological variables were also statistically significant. Based on these findings, the study offers empirical and practical suggestions for supporting vocational high school graduates in securing decent work.

직업계고는 특정 산업 분야에 종사할 인재 양성을 목표로 하며, 졸업 후 노동시장으로의 신속한 이 행을 장려하는 특성이 있다. 그러나 직업계고 졸업자들은 노동시장 진입 과정에서 다른 학력 집단보다 상대적으로 구조적 제약을 경험하게 된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기본적인 권리 확보를 전제로 하는 최소 한의 질적 기준을 의미하는 '괜찮은 일자리' 개념을 적용하여, 직업계고 졸업자의 괜찮은 일자리에 대한 인식에 교사 관계 및 취업지원 경험 만족도가 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 또한 자기효능감과 진로성숙 도 같은 심리적 특성이 이들 관계에서 어떠한 매개 역할을 하는지를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한 국직업능력연구원에서 제공하는 한국교육고용패널Ⅱ(KEEPⅡ)의 2~3차 자료에서 결측치를 제외한 직 업계고(특성화고 및 마이스터고) 졸업 후 취업자 942명의 데이터를 분석에 활용하였다. 기술통계 분석 은 SPSS 29.0.1 프로그램을 사용하였고, 경로분석은 Mplus 8.11 프로그램을 이용하여 수행하였다. 연 구 결과, 성별, 학교유형, 가구소득의 세 가지 통제변인 중 학교유형이 괜찮은 일자리에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 주요 변인(교사관계, 취업지원만족도, 자기효능감, 진로성숙도 및 괜찮은 일자리) 간의 직접적인 관계는 모두 정적인 방향으로 유의하였다. 특히 자기효능감과 진로성숙도는 교 사관계 및 취업지원만족도와 괜찮은 일자리 간의 관계를 유의하게 매개하는 것으로 확인되었으며, 두 매개변인의 순차적 매개효과 또한 통계적으로 유의하였다. 이 연구의 결과를 토대로 직업계고 졸업자 들의 괜찮은 일자리 확보를 위한 실증적, 실천적 제언을 제시하였다.
