Objective: This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of an agro-healing program in improving social interaction, problem behaviors, and parenting stress among children with developmental disabilities. Methods: This study included 10 children with developmental disabilities (10–12 years old) and their parent. The agro-healing program took place weekly for a year in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, with 120-min sessions. The effects of the program on children's social maturity, social interaction, communication, problem behaviors, and sensory processing were assessed. Parenting stress levels and program satisfaction were also measured, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Results: The agro-healing program showed positive effects in enhancing the social age and reducing the frequency and intensity of problem behaviors. Additionally, the program was found to contribute, to some extent, toward alleviating parenting stress experienced by some parents of children with developmental disabilities. Conclusion: The agro-healing program contributed to meaningful improvements in children with developmental disabilities. Future research should focus on expanding and refining the program through continued research on developmental disabilities.

목적 : 본 연구에서는 치유농업 프로그램이 발달장애 아동의 사회적 상호작용, 문제행동, 보호자의 돌봄 스트레스 감소에 효과적인지 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 본 연구의 치유농업 프로그램의 대상자는 만 10~12세인 발달장애 아동 10명과 보호자 10명이었다. 치유농업 프로그램은 1년 동안 경기도 소재의 치유농장에서 주 1회씩, 회기당 120분씩 운영되었다. 치유농업 프로그램의 효과로, 발달장애 아동의 사회성숙도, 사회적 상호작용, 의사소통, 문제행동의 강도와 빈도, 감각 처리 능력을 측정하였고, 보호자의 양육 스트레스와 프로그램 만족도를 측정하였다. 결과분석은 기술통계 및 윌콕슨 부호 순위 검정을 하였다. 결과 : 치유농업 프로그램은 발달장애 아동의 사회연령, 문제행동의 빈도와 강도를 감소시키는 긍정적인 효과를 보였다. 또한 치유농업 프로그램은 발달장애 아동의 보호자에게 높은 만족도를 제공하고, 일부 참여자의 양육 스트레스 완화에도 기여하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 : 치유농업 프로그램은 발달장애 아동에게 의미있는 변화를 가져오는 것으로 확인되었으며, 추후 발달장애아 동을 위한 지속적인 연구를 통해 프로그램의 효과를 명확히 입증할 필요가 있다.
