The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the PBL-based child health curriculum on the change in health perception of pre-child early childhood teachers. The participants of the study were 22 4th-grade pre-child teachers enrolled in the Department of Early Childhood Education at a university in Seoul, and 6 PBL questions were applied to the child health education class for 16 weeks. In order to collect the data, metaphors and image tests on the health perception of pre-child teachers were conducted before and after the class, and a total of 282 metaphors and 190 images were collected. Based on this, the health perception of pre-child early childhood teachers was categorized into value, meaningful, and practical aspects. The results of the quantitative and qualitative analysis according to the research problems are as follows. First, the amount of both metaphors and images nearly tripled. The metaphor showed a remarkable increase in positivity in the value aspect, while negativity decreased, and a new subcategory appeared in the practical aspect. In the image, a new subcategory was added, and expressions due to the acquisition of professional knowledge such as 'bicycle nutrients' and 'water' appeared. Second, the perception of metaphor and image has changed. The value aspect was changed to 'base for health', the semantic aspect to 'continuity of life living together', and the practical aspect to 'practice for health development'. The value aspect of the image was changed to 'pursuing the well-being of the mind and body' and the practical aspect to 'segmentation of practice for health development', and the semantic aspect of 'promoting health together as a member of society' emerged. This study is meaningful in that it provided implications for the operation of health education to improve the capacity of pre-child teachers in positive and practical ways as an educator and role model provider for infant health.

본 연구의 목적은 PBL 기반 아동건강교육과정이 예비유아교사의 건강 인식 변화에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 연구 참여자는 서울시 소재 대학교 유아교육학과에 재학 중인 4학년 예비유아교사 22명으로 16주간 아동건강 교육 수업에 6문제의 PBL을 적용하였다. 자료 수집을 위해 수강 전, 후로 예비유아교사의 건강인식에 대한 은유와 이미지 검사를 실시하였으며 은유 총 282개, 이미지 190개가 수집되었다. 이를 토대로 예비유아교사의 건강 인식을 가치적, 의미적, 실천적 측면으로 범주화 하였다. 연구문제에 따라 양적분석과 질적분석 한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 은유와 이미지의 양이 모두 세 배 가까이 증가하였다. 은유는 가치적 측면의 긍정성의 증가가 두드러지는 반면 부정성이 감소하였으며, 실천적 측면은 새로운 하위범주가 나타났다. 이미지에서도 새로운 하위범주가 추가되었으며 ‘자전거 영양소’, ‘물’ 등의 전문적 지식의 습득에 기인한 표현들이 나타났다. 둘째, 은유와 이미지의 인식이 변화하였 다. 은유의 가치적 측면은 ‘건강을 위한 기반 중심’, 의미적 측면은 ‘더불어 사는 삶의 연속성’, 실천적 측면은 ‘건강 발전을 위한 실천’으로 변화되었다. 이미지의 가치적 측면은 ‘심신의 안녕 추구’, 실천적 측면은 ‘건강 발전을 위한 실 천의 세분화’로 변화되었으며 ‘사회 구성원으로서 더불어 건강을 도모’하는 의미적 측면의 이미지가 출현하였다. 본 연구는 영유아 건강을 위한 교육자이자, 역할 모델 제공자로서 긍정적, 실천적인 예비유아교사의 역량증진을 위한 건 강교육 운영에 대한 시사점을 제공하였다는데 그 의의가 있다.
