The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between health status and successful aging among middle-aged women and to investigate the mediating effect of social support on successful aging within these relationships. The subjects of the study were 193 middle-aged women in a certain region, and data were collected from September 1 to October 30, 2024. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis using the SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. The results of this study revealed that statistically significantly differences in successful aging were associated with general characteristics such as occupation, highest level of education, and marital satisfaction. As a result of confirming the correlation between health status, social support, and successful aging in middle-aged women, successful aging showed a significant positive correlation with health status (r=.64, p<.001), and social support (r=.67, p<.001). In the first step of the regression analysis, the independent variable, health status, had a evidently effect on the mediating variable, social support (β=.82, p<.001). In the second step, health status meaningfully influenced the dependent variable, successful aging (β=.64, p<.001). In the third step, the mediating variable, social support, had a significant effect on the dependent variable, successful aging (β=.31, p<.001). Additionally, social support was found to partially mediate the relationship between health status and successful aging.

본 연구는 중년 여성의 건강 상태와 성공적 노화 간의 관계를 파악하고 이 관계에서 사회적 지지의 매개 효과 를 분석하는 것이다. 연구 대상은 특정 지역에 거주하는 중년 여성 193명이며, 자료는 2024년 9월 1일부터 10월 30 일까지 수집되었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, t-검정, ANOVA, 상관분석, 위 계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 직업, 최종 학력, 결혼 만족도와 같은 일반적 특성에 따라 성공적 노화에 유 의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 중년 여성의 건강 상태, 사회적 지지, 성공적 노화 간의 상관관계를 확인한 결과, 성공적 노화는 건강 상태와 유의한 정적 상관관계(r=.64, p<.001)를 보였으며, 사회적 지지 또한 성공적 노화와 유의 한 정적 상관관계(r=.67, p<.001)를 나타냈다. 회귀분석의 첫 번째 단계에서는 독립변수인 건강 상태가 매개변수인 사 회적 지지에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다(β=.82, p<.001). 두 번째 단계에서는 건강 상태가 종속변수인 성공적 노화에 유의 한 영향을 미쳤다(β=.64, p<.001). 세 번째 단계에서는 매개변수인 사회적 지지가 성공적 노화에 유의한 영향을 미쳤 으며(β=.31, p<.001), 사회적 지지는 건강 상태와 성공적 노화 간의 관계를 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다.
