This study aims to provide valuable implications for development and management of the ecotourism sites. To do that, this study intents to measure ecotourism’s selective attributes which define ecotourists’ visiting to the ecotourism sites and its effects on the formation of ecotourists’ satisfaction and behavioral intention. Based on this intention, this study utilized SPSS 27.0 to clarify frequencies and conducted exploratory factor analysis for validity and reliability using 328 survey questionnaire collected from ecotourists visiting Gemunoreum in Jeju Island. Also, this study conducted Deng(2007)’s IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis) technique in order to clarify their recognition on importance and performance of the attributes. Further, multiple regression was conducted to analyze the effects of attributes on ecotourists’ overall satisfaction and behavioral intention. The previous studies in the area of ecotourism have not actively analyzed the attributes utilizing IPA. Also, the relationships of attributes with ecotourists’ satisfaction and behavioral intention have not been much clarified in the previous studies. Considering this situations, we aim to make contributions for theoretical development on the ecotourism selective attributes and to provide practical implications on the future studies analyzing the measures for development and management of ecotourism sites.

본 연구는 생태관광지 방문을 결정짓는 선택속성에 대한 분석과 함께 선택속성이 생태관광객의 전반적인 만족도와 행동의도에 미치는 영향을 규명함으로써 향후 생태관광지 개발과 관리 방안 연구에 기여할 수 있는 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 이에 본 연구는 제주 거문오름 생태관광객 328명에 대한 설문조사 결과를 바탕으로 SPSS 27.0을 통해 빈도분석을 시행하였고 탐색적 요인분석을 통해 타당성과 신뢰도를 검증하였다. 또한 Deng(2007)의 수정된 IPA를 분석기준으로 생태관광 선택속성에 대하여 그들이 인식하는 중요도 와 만족도를 규명하였다. 아울러 다중회귀분석을 기준으로 선택속성이 생태관광객의 전반적인 만족도와 행동의도에 어떠한 영향을 미 치는지 확인하였다. 생태관광 분야 선행연구를 살펴볼 때 IPA를 바탕으로 선택속성을 분석한 연구가 미비하고 선택속성을 생태관광객의 만족도와 행동의도에 연계한 생태관광 활성화 방안 연구 역시 부족한 상황임을 고려할 때 우리는 향후 생태관광지 선택속성에 대한 이론적 발전에 새로운 모델을 제시하고 생태관광지 개발과 관리를 위한 연구에 기여할 수 있는 실무적 시사점을 도출하고자 한다.
