The development of the media accelerates globalization, urges changes in social systems, breaks down traditional boundaries, and demands the creation of a fluid identity across culture, economy, and local communities. In this context, animation films play a crucial role in reflecting and even instigating social change. This phenomenon can be interpreted in Gilles Deleuze's territorialization. Therefore, this study explored the concept of territorialization contained in the film as a narrative analysis of the animated film "Elemental." Deleuze's de-territorialization and re-territorialization became a theoretical background, and based on this, the film's narrative and the four main characters representing the four elements were analyzed. As a result, the film contains de-territorialization and re-territorialization in each character's narrative, which are combined to form a single metanarrative. The study is significant in that it emphasizes the urgency of analyzing animation as a medium to suggest social matters by analyzing the movie through Deleuze's perspective and highlighting the importance of cultural narrative analysis to understand better the complex process of identity formation in a globalized society.

미디어의 발전은 세계화를 가속화 시키며, 사회 시스템의 변화를 촉구하고, 전통적인 경계를 허물며, 문화, 경 제, 지역사회에 걸친 유동적인 정체성 창출을 요구한다. 따라서 미디어는 여러 방면에서 변화의 필요성을 제시하는데, 애니메이션 영화 또한 예외가 아니다. 이러한 현상은 질 들뢰즈의 영토화 개념으로 해석될 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에 서는 애니메이션 영화 <엘리멘탈>의 내러티브 분석으로, 영화에 내포되어 있는 영토화 개념을 탐구한다. 이를 위해, 들뢰즈의 탈영토화와 재영토화를 이론적 배경으로 고찰하고, 이를 바탕으로 영화의 서사와 4개의 원소를 상징하는 주 요 등장인물들을 해석한다. 그 결과 영화는 등장인물 각각의 개별적 서사에 탈영토화와 재영토화를 내포하고 있으며, 이 것이 합쳐져 하나의 거대 서사가 형성된다. 들뢰즈의 관점을 통해 영화를 분석함으로써 현대 사회 문제를 해결하 기 위한 매체로서 애니메이션 영화의 유용성을 강조하고, 세계화된 사회에서 정체성 형성의 복잡한 과정을 더 잘 이 해하기 위해 문화적 내러티브 분석의 중요성을 부각시킬 수 있는 연구라 사료된다.
