Recently, due to rapid and diverse social changes and the resulting problems, developing future capabilities to respond to them has become an important topic in education. Accordingly, this study seeks to cultivate students' environmental community capabilities through environmental education using data science, focusing on digital literacy and environmental capabilities among various future capabilities. We organized learning activities to explore environmental problems that can be found in students' homes or schools, collect and analyze data to solve them, and then plan and implement ways to solve environmental problems based on the data. Through this, students will be able to recognize environmental problems in communities such as their homes or schools and actively participate in the process of solving the problems. Through this experience, students are expected to be able to develop environmental community capabilities and explore the possibility of digital transformation of environmental education.

최근 급격하고 다양한 사회의 변화와 그로 인한 문제들로 인해, 이에 대응할 수 있는 미래 역량을 발달시키는 것이 교육의 중요한 화두가 되고 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 다양한 미래 역량 중에서도 디지털 소양과 환 경역량에 초점을 맞추어 데이터 과학을 활용한 환경교육을 통해 학생들의 환경 공동체 역량을 함양하고자 한다. 학생들이 속해 있는 가정이나 학교에서 찾을 수 있는 환경문제 상황을 탐색하고, 이를 해결하기 위해 데이터를 수집․분석 후 그 내용을 바탕으로 환경문제를 해결하는 방법을 계획․실천하는 학습활동을 구성하였다. 학생들은 이를 통해 자신이 속한 가정이나 학교 같은 공동체의 환경문제를 인지하고 문제를 해결하는 과정에 적극적으로 참여할 수 있을 것이다. 이같은 경험을 통해 학생들은 환경 공동체 역량을 함양할 수 있으며, 환경교육의 디지 털 전환의 가능성도 모색할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
