This paper recognizes the necessity and significance of education in the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), aspiring to develop and implement an AI class that provides students with understanding and application abilities concerning these technologies. For the research, literature studies were conducted to review preceding studies for the development of an AI education program, and domestic and international AI education platforms were analyzed. Based on this, the educational curriculum was restructured, and an IoT-based AI education lesson plan was developed and applied. The application of the IoT-based AI education program demonstrated statistically significant enhancements in self-directed learning capabilities, creative capabilities, social participation capabilities, empathetic capabilities, and social relationship capabilities. It is anticipated that if support is provided in various ways to enable students to successfully utilize IoT and AI technologies in the real world, it can contribute to fostering personnel equipped with an understanding and application ability regarding the rapidly changing technologies in society.

본 논문에서는 사물인터넷과 인공지능 교육의 필요성과 중요성을 인식하고, 학생들에게 이러한 기술에 대한 이해와 응용 능력을 제공하는 AI 클래스를 개발하고 적용하고자 하였다. 연구를 위해 인공지능 교육 프로그램 개발에 관한 선행 연구를 고찰하였고, 국내․외 인공지능 교육 플랫폼을 분석하였으며 이를 토대로 교육과정을 재 구성하여 IoT 기반 인공지능 교육 수업안을 개발 적용하였다. IoT 기반 인공지능 교육 프로그램 적용 전후 자 기주도적 학습역량, 창의적 역량, 사회 참여 역량, 공감 역량, 사회적 관계 역량은 모두 통계적으로 유의미하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 학생들이 현실 세계에서 성공적으로 IoT와 AI 기술을 활용할 수 있도록 다양한 방면으 로 지원이 이루어진다면 빠르게 변화하는 지능정보기술에 대한 이해와 적용 능력을 갖춘 인력 양성에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
