This study identifies the effect on the learning motivation of elementary learners in classes using AI PengTok in elementary English classes, predicts and analyzes improvement tasks, and suggests ways to improve the quality of elementary English education. Thirteen fifth-grade elementary school students were selected as experimental groups and pre- and post-mortem tests were conducted. Research classes based on AI PengTok took four weeks. A self-produced inspection paper was used for data collection. It was found that English classes using AI PengTok had a positive effect on improving learners' learning motivation. However, measures are needed to compensate for the technical problems of AI PengTok and learners' level-specific learning. As such, this study is meaningful in that it studied the positive effects of English class activities using AI PengTok on learners' learning motivation and improvement tasks. These results can be used as a reference for future research.

본 연구는 초등학교에서 AI 펭톡 활용 영어 수업이 학습자의 학습동기에 미치는 효과을 규명하고, 개선 과제 를 예측하고 분석하여 초등 영어 교육의 질적 개선 방안을 제시한다. 초등학교 5학년 학생 13명을 실험집단으 로 선정하여 사전·사후 검사를 실시하였다. AI 펭톡을 기반으로 한 연구 수업은 4주에 걸져 진행되었다. 자료수 집을 위하여 직접 제작한 검사지를 사용하였다. AI 펭톡을 활용한 영어 수업은 학습자들의 학습 동기를 향상시 키는데 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 AI 펭톡은 기술적인 문제점과 학습자들의 수준별 학습 을 보완하기 위한 조치가 필요하다. 이와 같이 본 연구는 AI 펭톡을 활용한 영어 수업 활동이 학습자의 학습 동 기에 미치는 긍정적인 효과 및 개선 과제에 대해 연구한 것에 의의가 있다. 이러한 결과는 추후 진행될 연구를 위한 참고 자료로 사용될 수 있으리라 본다.
