The purpose of this study is to systematically derive Heidegger’s concept of freedom in Being and Time and to explain the significance of freedom in his philosophy through this. Heidegger’s concept of freedom is only implicitly revealed throughout his philosophy and is not explicitly and systematically explained. In particular, in Being and Time, he discusses freedom in the structure of truth and the temporality of existence, but how this concept is specifically established and realized is not clearly revealed. In Being and Time, Heidegger treats the concept of freedom as a secondary concept rather than an independent concept. This has made it difficult to study the concept of freedom as a whole in Heidegger’s philosophy. However, in Being and Time, freedom has a decisive meaning in that it is the starting point of Heidegger’s thinking that attempts an ontological transformation and forms a theoretical turning point that enables the development of free thinking. Therefore, with a focus on Being and Time, clearly deriving and systematically analyzing Heidegger's concept of freedom is significant in revealing the ontological significance of freedom in his philosophy. To this end, this study will first undertake a critical examination of Kant’s concept of freedom. Kant defined freedom as an essential condition for human existence based on the necessity of autonomy and moral laws, which played an important role in forming the basis of the modern concept of freedom. This thought later became an important philosophical premise for Heidegger to explore freedom at the ontological level and has become an essential prerequisite for understanding his existentialist concept of freedom. We will also look at Heidegger’s concept of existential-ontological freedom. This freedom manifests itself as an existential openness and responsiveness to the possibility of Being disclosed to Dasein through temporality and worldhood, thereby revealing the truth of its existence. This study will analyze the concept of freedom in three stages in order to systematically reveal it. First, we will examine the relationship between freedom and Dasein as the basis of freedom, second, we will analyze the realization process of freedom based on freedom, time, and truth, and third, we will examine the practical realization of freedom through the relationship between freedom and the world. This research will demonstrate the importance of his concept of freedom in the context of Heidegger’s philosophy and even the history of philosophy.

본 연구는 『존재와 시간』에서 하이데거의 자유 개념을 체계적으로 도출하고 이를 통해 그의 철학에서 자유가 가지는 의의를 해명 하는데 목적이 있다. 하이데거의 자유 개념은 그의 철학 전반에 걸쳐 암시적으로 드러날 뿐, 명시적이고 체 계적으로 설명되어 있지 않다. 특히 『존재와 시간』에서 그는 자유를 존재의 진리와 시간성 의 구조 속에서 논의하지만, 이 개념이 구체적으로 어떻게 성립되고 실현되는지는 명확히 드러나지 않는다. 하이데거는 『존재와 시간』에서 자유 개념을 독립적인 개념이 아니라 부 차적인 개념으로 다루고 있다. 이에 하이데거 철학에서 자유 개념을 전체적으로 연구하는 것을 어렵게 하는 원인이 되었다. 그러나 『존재와 시간』에서 자유는 존재론적 전환을 시도 하는 하이데거 사유의 출발점이자, 이후 자유 사유의 전개를 가능케 한 이론적 전환점을 형성한다는 점에서 결정적 의미를 갖는다. 따라서 『존재와 시간』을 중심으로 하이데거의 자유 개념을 명확하게 도출하고 체계적으로 분석하는 작업은 그의 철학에서 자유가 가지 는 존재론적 의의를 규명하는데 중요한 의미를 가진다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 먼저 칸트의 자유 개념을 비판적으로 고찰할 것이다. 칸트는 자유 를 자율성과 도덕법칙의 필연성에 근거하여 인간 존재의 본질적 조건으로 규정하였으며, 이는 근대 자유 개념의 기초를 형성하는데 중요한 역할을 했다. 이러한 사유는 이후 하이 데거가 자유를 존재론적 차원에서 탐구하는 데 중요한 철학적 전제가 되었으며, 그의 실존 론적 자유 개념을 이해하는데 필수적인 선행 작업이 된다. 그리고 하이데거의 실존론적 존 재론적 자유 개념을 살펴볼 것이다. 이 자유는 시간성과 세계성 속에서 자신에게 주어진 존재 가능성에 응답하고, 그로써 존재의 진리를 드러내는 실존적 개방성과 응답 가능성으로 드러난다. 본 연구는 이러한 자유 개념을 체계적으로 밝히기 위해 세 단계로 분석할 것 이다. 첫째 자유의 근거로서 자유와 현존재의 관계를 고찰하고, 둘째 자유와 시간성 그리 고 진리를 중심으로 자유의 실현 과정을 분석하며, 셋째 자유와 세계의 관계를 통해 자유 의 현실적인 실현 모습을 살펴보고자 한다. 이러한 연구는 하이데거 철학, 더 나아가 철학 사적 맥락 속에서 그의 자유 개념이 가지는 중요성을 드러내어 보여 줄 것이다.
