This study analyzes intrafamilial sexual violence as a form of structural violence occurring within the private and closed space of the family. The perpetrator strategically exploited the hierarchical and secluded nature of the family to enact a complex mechanism of emotional and cognitive manipulation, isolating the victim. Based on primary data written directly by the victim, this qualitative research examined the perpetrator’s repeated coercive behaviors and the victim’s psychosocial responses. The results revealed that the perpetrator not only committed physical violence but also utilized gaslighting, guilt induction, and distorted family order to undermine the victim’s perception of reality and autonomy. The perpetrator justified the violence under the guise of “family protection” or “maintaining order,” neutralizing the victim’s resistance. Consequently, the victim became increasingly silent, self-negating, and fixated in a subordinate relationship. This process led to a state of psychological dependency in which the victim could no longer articulate their suffering or seek external help. The study highlights that intrafamilial sexual violence is not merely an individual aberration but a structural problem intertwined with patriarchy, familism, and legal limitations. In particular, the sacralization of the family in Korean society has contributed to the concealment and perpetuation of such crimes, while institutional interventions have remained inadequate. This study reveals how the family functions as a space of control and domination for the perpetrator, and as a place of silence and isolation for the victim. It underscores the need to dismantle the spatial hierarchy of domestic violence and to establish victim-centered response systems and institutional support mechanisms.

본 연구는 친족 성범죄를 가정이라는 사적이고 폐쇄적인 공간 속에서 발생하는 구 조적 폭력으로 분석하였다. 가해자는 가정의 위계성과 폐쇄성을 적극 이용하여, 피해 자를 정서적・인지적으로 조작하고 고립시키는 복합적 폭력 메커니즘을 작동시켰다. 본 연구는 피해자가 직접 작성한 1차 자료를 바탕으로, 가해자의 반복적 조작과 피해 자의 심리사회적 반응을 질적으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 가해자는 신체적 폭력뿐 아 니라 가스라이팅, 죄책감 유발, 왜곡된 가족 질서를 통해 피해자의 현실 인식과 자율 성을 지속적으로 약화시켰다. 가해자는 ‘가족 보호’나 ‘질서 유지’라는 명목으로 폭력 을 정당화하고, 피해자의 저항을 무력화하였으며, 피해자는 점차 침묵과 자기부정, 종속적 관계에 고착되었다. 이러한 과정은 피해자가 자신의 고통을 설명하지 못하고, 외부로부터의 도움 요청 능력을 상실하게 만드는 심리적 종속 상태로 이어졌다. 연 구는 친족 성범죄가 개인 일탈이 아닌 가부장제, 가족주의, 법적 한계와 맞물린 사회 구조적 문제임을 강조하였다. 특히 한국 사회에서 가족의 사적 신성화는 범죄 은폐와 지속을 가능하게 했고, 제 도적 개입은 부족했다. 본 연구는 가정이 가해자에게는 통제와 지배의 안전지대, 피해 자에게는 침묵과 고립의 공간으로 기능함을 밝혔으며, 향후 폭력의 공간적 위계를 해 체하고 피해자 중심의 대응 체계 마련, 제도적 개입의 정착이 필요함을 제언하였다.
