Performing arts culture serves as a social foundation that enhances the quality of life for local residents and revitalizes regional economies. At the same time, it acts as a historical indicator that reflects each region’s unique cultural heritage. However, the imbalance between the capital and non-capital regions in performing arts infrastructure has become severe, limiting opportunities for non-capital region residents to experience cultural performances. This, in turn, leads to the decline of regional performing arts culture. Therefore, this study aims to explore strategies for revitalizing regional performing arts culture. By analyzing the distribution and operation of performance venues, we examine the differences between Seoul and other regions. Additionally, we analyze performance attendance trends and venue accessibility to assess the impact of various factors on the expansion of performing arts infrastructure. Based on the results, we derive conclusions and implications, address research limitations, and propose directions for future studies to conclude this paper.

공연 문화는 지역 주민들의 삶의 질을 향상시키고 지역 경제를 활성화시킬 수 있는 사회적 기반이며, 동시에 각 지역의 고유한 전통 문화를 보여줄 수 있는 역사적 지표이다. 그러나 현재 수도권과 비수도권 간의 공연문화 불균형 현상이 심각해 비수도권 거주민들은 공연 문화를 즐길 기회가 적으며, 이는 지역 공연 문화의 위축으로 이어진다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 지역 공연 문화를 활성화하기 위한 방안을 모색한다. 공연장 분포 및 운영 분석을 통해 서울과 타지역간 공연장 및 운영 차이가 있는지 확인해보고, 공연 관람 트렌드 분석과 공연장 접근성 분석을 통해 공연 인프라 확장과 관련된 다양한 변수의 영향을 분석한다. 분석 결과를 통해 결론 및 시사점을 도출하고, 한계점 및 향후 연구계획을 제시하면서 본 논문을 마무리하고자 한다.
