This study examined pre-service teachers’ perceptions and educational needs regarding AI·Digital education to inform improvements in teacher preparation programs. A survey was administered to 129 pre-service teachers, focusing on five domains: preparation, design, implementation, evaluation, and professionalism. Data were analyzed using paired t-tests, Borich needs assessment, and the Locus for Focus model. Results showed that while participants highly recognized the importance of AI·Digital education, significant gaps existed between importance and self-assessed competence. Key areas requiring support included selecting instructional models and AI tools, explaining instructional processes, providing scaffolding, resolving technical issues, and understanding legal and policy frameworks. Notably, the implementation domain showed the highest level of need in both analyses. AI tool selection and instructional process explanation emerged as high-priority areas across both models. Based on the results, this study identified key educational areas and content that should be prioritized in teacher preparation programs to enhance pre-service teachers’ competencies in AI·Digital education, and discussed directions for improving the curriculum.

본 연구는 예비 교원이 가지고 있는 AI·디지털 교육에 대한 인식과 교육요구도를 분석하여 향후 교원 양성 과 정에서의 시사점을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 예비 교원 129명을 대상으로 AI·디지털 교육에 대 한 준비, 설계, 실행, 평가, 전문성에 대한 인식과 요구를 측정하는 설문을 수행하였다. 수집된 자료는 대응표본 t- 검정, Borich 요구도 분석, Locus for Focus 모델을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 예비 교원들은 AI·디지털 교 육의 중요성을 높게 인식하였고, 보유도와의 유의미한 차이가 확인되었다. 교육적 지원이 필요한 요소로는 교수·학 습 모형 선정, AI 도구 선정, 교수·학습 과정 설명, 스캐폴딩 제공, 기술 문제 해결, 법·제도 이해 등이 도출되었다. 특히, 실행 영역은 Borich 요구도 분석과 Locus for Focus 분석에서 교육요구도가 가장 높게 나타났으며, AI 도구 선정과 교수·학습 과정 설명은 두 분석에서 모두 중점 요소로 도출되어 우선적인 교육 개입이 요구되는 내용으로 확인되었다. 연구 결과를 기반으로 예비 교원의 AI·디지털 교육 활성화를 위해 교원 양성 과정에서 중점적으로 강 화되어야 할 교육 영역과 내용을 제시하고 교원 양성 과정의 개선 방향을 논의하였다.
