This study was conducted to verify and discuss the impact of flight instructors’ transformational leadership, as perceived by pilot trainees, on pilot trainees’ flight learning efficacy. Survey data was collected and analyzed from 200 pilot trainees at 9 domestic universities. As a result of the analysis, the charisma factor, which is a component of the flight instructor's transformational leadership, had the greatest positive effect on the pilot trainees' overall flight learning efficacy and the only positive effect on their confidence. Among the transformational leadership components, inspirational motivation had the greatest positive effect on self-regulation efficacy. Among the transformational leadership components, intellectual stimulation, individual consideration, and inspirational motivation had a positive influence on preference for task difficulty, which is a subfactor of flight learning efficacy, with intellectual stimulation having the greatest impact. These results confirmed that flight instructor's transformational leadership component showed partial differences, it had a positive (+) effect on pilot trainees' flight learning efficacy.

본 연구는 조종훈련생이 인식하는 비행교관의 변혁적 리더십이 조종훈련생의 비행학습 효능감에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 실증하고 논의하고자 수행되었다. 국내 9개 대학교에서 조종훈련생 200명을 대상으 로 설문 자료를 수집하였으며 절차에 따라서 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 비행교관의 변혁적 리더십 구성 요인 중에서 카리스마 요인이 조종훈련생의 전체 비행학습 효능감에 가장 큰 정(+)적 영향을 미쳤으며 유일하게 비행학습 효능감의 하위 요인 중 하나인 자신감에 정(+)적 영향을 미쳤다. 또한, 변혁적 리더십 구성 요인 모두 비행학습 효능감의 하위 요인 중 하나인 자기조절 효능감에 영향을 미쳤으며, 그중에서 영감적 동기가 자기조절 효능감에 가장 큰 정(+)적 영향을 미쳤다. 마지막으로, 변혁적 리더십 구성 요인 중에서 지적 자극, 개별적 고려, 그리고 영감적 동기 등이 비행학습 효능감 하위 요인 중 하나인 과제 난이도 선호에 정(+)적 영향을 미쳤으며, 지적 자극이 가장 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 결과는 비행교 관의 변혁적 리더십 구성 요인이 부분적 차이를 보이기는 하지만 조종훈련생의 비행학습 효능감에 정(+)적인 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 확인되었다.
