This research was conducted to investigate the relationship between perceived university environment and intention of dropout in university freshman and to determine how university experience influences this relationship. To achieve this, a survey was conducted from November to December. 2023, and the collected data were analyzed using statistical methods SPSS 28.0 and PROCESS macro, and the collected data were analyzed using statistical methods such as, pearson correlation, and hierarchical regression, Bootstrap was performed to test the significance of the indirect effects through the mediator variables. The Research finding was follow: First, Perceived university environment influences on the freshman’s intention of dropout. In other words The more they had perceived university environment, the less they intention of dropout. Second, there were significant mediating effect in freshman’s intention of dropout to university experience. mediating effect of university experience was significant in relation perceived university environment and intention of dropout.

본 연구는 대학 신입생을 대상으로 지각된 대학환경과 대학경험이 학업중단 의도에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 확인하고자 하였다. 전국에 있는 대학교 1학년 학생을 대상으로 지각된 대학환경과 학업중단 의도의 관계에서 대학 경험의 매개효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 통해 신입생의 학업중단에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 이해하고, 적절한 개입 방안을 모색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2023년 11월부터 12월까지 설문조사를 실시했으며, 상관분석, 위계적 회귀분석과 같은 통계적 분석 방법을 사용해 자료를 분석하였다. 매개 변수를 통한 간접효과를 검정하기 위해 부트스트래핑을 하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째 지각 된 대학환경은 신입생의 학업중단 의도에 부적 영향을 주었다. 즉, 지각된 대학환경이 증가할수록 학업중 단 의도는 감소하였다. 둘째. 대학경험은 지각된 대학환경과 학업중단의도의 관계에서 유의미한 매개효 과를 보였다. 역시 지각된 대학환경이 증가할수록 대학경험은 증가되고, 대학 경험이 증가할수록 학업중 단 의도는 감소하였다.
