The purpose of this study was to provide basic data to improve life satisfaction by verifying the mediating effect of self-esteem in the relationship between family conflict and life satisfaction perceived by middle-income adolescents. For the research data, the survey data of the 2020 Multicultural Youth Panel Survey (MAPS) 2nd 2nd survey were used. As for middle-income adolescents, 164 adolescents who entered the country with the age of 10-14 at the time of the survey were selected as samples. As for the analysis method, descriptive analysis and correlation analysis were performed, and PROCESS MACRO Model Number 4 was applied for mediating effect analysis, and the significance of the indirect effect was verified by Bootstrapping. As a result of the study, first, family conflict perceived by middle-income adolescents negatively affected life satisfaction. Second, it was confirmed that self-esteem completely mediated the relationship between family conflict and life satisfaction perceived by middle-income adolescents. This study is significant in that it devised policy alternatives and practical programs to increase the life satisfaction of middle-income adolescents.

본 연구는 중도입국 가정 청소년이 경험하는 가족갈등과 삶의 만족도의 관계에서 자아존중감의 매개효과를 확인하여 삶의 만족도 증진을 위한 기초자료 제공에 목적이 있다. 연구자료는 한국청소년정책연구원 ‘2020년 다문화청소년패널조사 (MAPS) 2기 2차’ 조사데이터를 활용하였다. 다문화 청소년은 조사 시점 연령이 10~14세이고 중도에 입국한 청소년으로 164 명을 표본으로 선정하였다. 분석 방법을 보면, 기술 분석, 상관관계 분석을 실시하고 매개효과 분석은 PROCESS MACRO Model Number 4를 적용하고 간접효과의 유의성은 Bootstrapping으로 검증하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 다문화 청소년이 인 지하는 가족갈등은 삶의 만족도에 부정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 다문화 청소년이 지각하는 가족갈등과 삶의 만족도와의 관 계에서 자아존중감이 완전 매개를 확인하였다. 본 연구는 중도입국 가정 청소년의 삶의 만족도를 높여줄 수 있는 정책과 실천 적 프로그램을 제시하였다는 부분에서 의의를 갖는다.
