This study proposes the NEXT (Novel Engineering-based X-over Technology Education) model and its design method to support the operation of School Autonomy Time, focusing on humanities and informatics convergence. To develop the model and design strategy, prior research on School Autonomy Time and Novel Engineering, along with curriculum documents and policy guidelines, were analyzed. The NEXT model follows a cyclic structure composed of four key stages: Novel engineering, Explatory learning, X-over and problem-solving, and Technology convergence. The program design process is based on the ADDIE instructional design model, incorporating the realities of schools, regional characteristics, and learner needs in alignment with the goals of autonomous curriculum planning. This study offers a practical methodology for implementing informatics education that reflects school autonomy and local connectivity, and provides a foundation for future research and development of convergence-based extracurricular programs. Further studies are recommended to advance the sustainable practice of informatics education within school autonomy time.

본 논문에서는 인문-정보융합 기반의 학교자율시간 운영을 지원하기 위한 정보융합교육 모델인 NEXT(Novel Engineering-based X-over Technology Education) 교육 모델을 제안하고, 그 설계 방안을 구체화하였다. 이를 위 해 학교자율시간 및 노벨 엔지니어링 관련 선행연구, 교육과정 문서 및 시행 자료를 분석하여 NEXT 모델과 설계 절차를 도출하였다. NEXT 모델은 도서 기반의 문제 정의, 탐구, 융합, 기술적 구현의 네 단계로 구성되며, 순환적 구조를 갖는다. 프로그램 설계는 ADDIE 모형을 바탕으로 하여 학교와 지역의 실태 및 학습자 요구를 반영할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 연구는 학교 교육과정 내 자율성과 지역 연계를 반영한 정보교육의 운영 방법론을 제시함으로 써, 향후 융합 기반 교과 외 프로그램 개발 및 효과성 연구의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다. 후속 연구로는 학교자 율시간에서의 지속적인 정보교육 연구의 필요성이 제안되었다.
