The expeditious development of artificial intelligence (AI) in last years has attracted attention for its potential use in policy research in the economics, humanities and social sciences. This study is based on the recognition that AI is necessary as a research tool so that policy researchers can immerse themselves in a research environment that guarantees research autonomy and ease. Therefore, this study aims to highlight the need for proper use of generative AI in policy research and to inform the responsible and sound use of generative AI tools with issues such as data bias, transparency, and privacy security. Therefore, we propose regular training for the use of generative AI, the creation and distribution of generative AI tailored to policy research, and guidelines for the responsible and ethical use of AI tools, as it is essential to be vigilant against reckless abuse and comply with research ethics in the use of AI.

최근 인공지능(AI)의 발전이 급속하게 진행됨에 따라 경제 ‧ 인문사회분야 정책연구에서도 그 활용 가능성이 주 목받고 있다. 본 연구는 정책연구자가 연구 자율성과 수월성이 보장되는 연구환경에 몰입할 수 있도록 AI가 연구 도구로서 필요하다는 인식에서 출발하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 정책연구 수행과정에서 생성형 AI의 올바른 활용을 강조하면서 데이터 편향성 ‧ 투명성 ‧ 개인정보 보안 등의 문제를 지닌 생성형 AI 도구의 책임있고 건전한 사용 유 도를 목적으로 한다. 이에 생성형 AI에 활용을 위한 정기적 교육, 정책연구 맞춤형 생성형 AI 제작 ‧ 배포, AI의 사 용에 있어 무분별한 남용을 경계하고 연구윤리를 준수하는 것이 필수적인 바 윤리적이고 책임있게 AI를 사용하기 위한 가이드라인 등을 제안하고자 한다.
