Upon reviewing previous research on the inverted progressive marker "-(은/는)커녕" in Korean, it is evident that while some studies have explored its diachronic and synchronic dimensions, there is a lack of in-depth specialized research, particularly from an intersubjective perspective. To address this gap, this study adopts the perspective of intersubjectivity to focus on the inverted progressive nature of "-(은/는) 커녕" and its process of constructing intersubjective meaning. This paper argues that the commonality among all usages of "-(은/는)커녕" lies in its inverted progression, characterized by both [+inversion] and [+progression] semantic features. The intersubjective usage of "-(은/는)커녕" is attributed to the act of the inverted progressive informing. "-(은/는)커녕" functions as a guide, leading the listener/reader to infer the intended meaning of the discourse based on the provided logical cues. Within a shared cultural cognitive framework, the listener/reader can more easily grasp the implied presuppositions and more efficiently understand the speaker's/writer’s pragmatic intentions, which highlights the cognitive collaboration between the speaker/writer and the listener/reader, thereby demonstrating distinct characteristics of intersubjectivity.

선행 연구에서 한국어의 역방향 점층(反递进) 표지 ‘-(은/는)커녕’에 대한 연구 성과를 정 리한 결과, 학계에서 이미 통시적 및 공시적 차원에서 일정한 논의가 이루어졌다. 하지만 이 에 대한 개별 연구는 많지 않으며 상호주관성 관점에서의 심층 연구는 더욱 부족함을 확인하 였다. 이러한 연구 공백을 보완하기 위해 본 연구는 상호주관성 관점에서 ‘-(은/는)커녕’의 역방향 점층성과 그 상호주관적 의미 구성 과정을 중점적으로 고찰하였다. 본 논문에서는 ‘- (은/는)커녕’의 모든 용법의 공통성이 역방향 점층성에 있으며, [+역방향] 및 [+점층]의 의미 특성을 함께 지닌다고 본다. 또한, 그 상호주관성 용법을 역방향 점층적 알림의 의미로 정의 할 수 있다. ‘-(은/는)커녕’은 표지로서 안내 역할을 하며, 청자/독자에게 제시된 논리적 단서 를 통해 화자/저자의 의도를 추론하여 이해하도록 유도한다. 공유된 문화적 인지 배경 속에서 청자/독자는 함축된 전제 의미를 쉽게 이해할 수 있으며, 화자의 의도를 더욱 효율적으로 파 악할 수 있다. 이는 화자/저자와 청자/독자 간의 인지적 협력을 부각시키며, 뚜렷한 상호주관 성 특징을 보여준다.
