The educational transformation driven by artificial intelligence (AI) has posed significant challenges across all disciplines, particularly in the field of foreign language education. This study, therefore, explores the integration of AI and education, focusing on the deep fusion of information technology and foreign language instruction. The research centers on designing a Chinese language teaching program for Korean college students at the elementary level, specifically second-year students at junior colleges who have some prior experience learning Chinese. While these students possess basic knowledge of the language, their vocabulary and communication skills remain limited. The teaching program leverages the AI-powered subtitle translation tool Language Learning with Netflix (LLN)in combination with a blended learning approach. The research methodology involves three key steps: (1) a theoretical review of LLN and the blended teaching model; (2) the design of a detailed teaching plan, including pre-class preparation, instructional procedures, and post-class feedback; and (3) a final reflection and evaluation of the program. This study aims not only to provide theoretical and practical guidance for the effective application of AI-assisted foreign language teaching but also to offer insights for other disciplines seeking to explore the deep integration of AI and education.

AI가 불러온 교육의 변화는 모든 학문 분야, 특히 외국어 교육 분야에 커다란 도전과 과제 를 안겨주고 있다. 전통적인 언어 교육은 주로 대면 상호작용에 의존해왔으나, AI 기술은 방 대한 지식 저장 능력, 피드백 제공 능력, 강력한 상호작용 기능 및 감성적 지원 능력을 통해 외국어 교사의 많은 역할을 대체할 수 있는 수준에 이르렀다. 따라서 본 연구의 주제는 ‘AI와 교육의 융합’, 즉 정보기술과 외국어 교육의 심층적인 결합이다. 연구 주제는 AI 기반 영상 자막 번역 도구인 LLN(Language Learning with Netflix)을 활용하고, 혼합형(blended) 교수법을 적용하여, 한국 대학 초급 수준의 중국어 학습자를 위 한 수업 모형을 설계하는 것이다. 연구 대상은 한국 전문대학 2학년 학생들로, 모두 일정 수준의 중국어 학습 경험은 있으나 어휘력이 부족하고, 중국어 회화 능력이 매우 제한적인 학습자들이다. 연구 방법은 LLN 도구를 활용하고, 오프라인과 온라인 학습을 결합한 혼합형 교수법을 적용하는 것이다. 연구 절차는 다음과 같다. 우선 LLN이란 무엇인가, 혼합형 교수법이란 무엇인가에 대한 이론적 고찰을 진행하고, 이후 구체적인 수업 설계(수업 전 준비, 수업 절차, 수업 후 피드백 등)를 상세히 제시한다. 마지막으로 연구 결과를 종합하고 고찰을 통해 결론을 도출한다. 연구 목적은 외국어 교육에서 AI 보조 수업이 원활히 시행될 수 있도록 이론적 근거와 실 제적인 지침을 제시하는 데 있으며, 나아가 타 학문 분야에서도 인공지능과 교육의 심화 융합 을 모색하는 데 유의미한 시사점을 제공할 수 있다.
