Under the background of Industrial Revolution 4.0, the digital transformation process of performing arts organizations is accelerating. This study focuses on exploring the effect of digital professional development on the digital service capabilities of practitioners and its internal psychological mechanism, especially the mediating role of self-efficacy. Based on the integrated framework of self-efficacy theory and continuing professional development theory (CPD), this study uses a multi-stage sampling method to conduct a questionnaire survey on practitioners of performing arts organizations, and uses a structural equation model (SEM) for empirical analysis. The study found that the level of digital professional development significantly and positively predicts digital service capabilities, and self-efficacy shows a partial mediating effect in this path. This study not only expands the scope of cross-research on digital technology application and organizational behavior, but also provides an evidence-based basis for optimizing the human resource development strategy of performing arts organizations.
