This study empirically analyzes the effects of qualifications on subjective satisfaction with jobs and tasks, job-technology and job-education matching, and wage distribution by quantile. To this end, data from the 21st (2018) to the 25th (2022) waves of the Korean Labor and Income Panel Study (KLIPS) were utilized, and propensity score matching was employed to control for selection bias in conjunction with ordered probit models, binary logistic regression models, and unconditional quantile regression models. The results indicate that qualifications contribute to increasing job satisfaction by assisting individuals in job search and career placement while also enhancing workforce utilization efficiency by facilitating job assignments that align with an individual’s skills, knowledge, and educational background. Furthermore, the wage premium associated with qualifications exhibits varying patterns across wage distribution groups, depending on differences in the efficiency of human capital investment or an individual’s position within a segmented labor market structure.

본 연구는 자격이 일자리 및 직무에 대한 주관적 만족도, 일-기술 및 일-교육 적합도, 그리고 분위별 임 금에 미치는 효과를 실증적으로 분석하였다. 이를 위해 한국노동패널(KLIPS) 21차(2018년)부터 25차(2022년) 까지의 자료를 활용하였으며, 순서형 프로빗모형, 이항 로지스틱모형 및 무조건부 분위회귀모형에 선택편 의 통제를 위해 성향점수매칭을 결합한 방법론을 적용하였다. 분석결과, 자격은 개인의 직무탐색에 도움을 줌으로써 직업만족도를 높이는 데 기여하고 있으며, 인력활용의 효율성을 보장함으로써 기술, 지식이나 교 육수준 등에 맞는 직무에 종사하도록 유도하는 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 자격의 임금상승효과 는 임금분포상 집단 간의 인적자본투자 효율성 차이 또는 노동시장 분절구조상 위치에 따라 상이한 양상 을 보이는 것으로 확인되었다.
