Background: : The number of people learning Korean or coming to Korea is increasing. One of the difficulties faced when learning Korean as a foreign language is the honorifics. The honorifics are strictly observed in terms of the linguistic and cultural aspects of Korean society. However, Korean language learners may find the honorifics themselves unfamiliar, and even if they become somewhat accustomed to Korean, they are prone to making mistakes. Therefore, it is inevitable that they will be interested in teaching Korean honorifics more widely. From an educational perspective, the teaching and learning content and the number of hours of instruction will likely differ depending on the extent to which honorifics that reflect Korean culture are covered in Korean language textbooks and tests. Purpose: : I would like to consider the necessity of honorifics education in Korean language education, check the status of honorifics in Korean language textbooks for the Social Integration Program, TOPIK, and KIIP, and suggest what content should be taught and the direction of education. Methodology/Approach : The social integration program analyzes the use and contents of Korean honorifics in the Korean language textbook , TOPIK and KIIP, and suggests the contents and directions for education related to Korean honorifics. Findings/Conclusions : The content related to honorifics was lacking in Korean language textbooks and tests. Therefore, the content related to honorifics should be expanded. In addition, the educational perspective needs to be expanded steadily starting from the beginner level, and the content needs to be presented in more detail and subdivided rather than simply covered. Furthermore, the number of questions on honorifics should be increased and included in Korean language tests. Implications : It is meaningful to understand the use of honorifics in Korean textbooks and Korean tests, and to present the contents and directions to be educated.

배경 : 한국어를 배우거나 한국에 오려는 사람이 늘고 있다. 외국어로서 한국어를 학습할 때 겪는 어려움 중의 하나가 경어법이다. 경어법은 한국사회의 언어문화적인 측면에서 엄격하게 지켜지고 있다. 그러나 한국어학습자들은 경어법 자체가 낯설기도 하고, 한국어에 나름 익숙해지더라도 실수하기 쉽다. 따라서 한국의 경어법이 보다 폭넓게 교수될 수 있어야함에 관심을 가질 수밖에 없다. 교육적인 측면으로 보았 을 때 한국의 문화를 반영하는 경어법이 한국어 교재와 시험에서 어느 정도 다루어지고 있느냐에 따라 교수학습 내용과 교육 시수는 달라질 것으로 보인다. 목적 : 한국어교육에서 경어법 교육의 필요성을 생각하고, 사회통합프로그램 한국어 교재와 TOPIK과 KIIP에서의 경어법 실태를 확인하고 교육해야 할 내용과 교육 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 방법론/접근 : 사회통합프로그램 한국어 교재 <한국어와 한국문화(초급1·2), (중급1·2)>, 결혼이민지와 함께 하는 한국어 1-6>과 TOPIK과 KIIP에서 한국어 경어법 사용 및 내용을 분석하고, 한국어 경어법 관 련 교육해야 할 내용과 방향을 제시한다. 결과/결론 : 한국어 교재와 시험에서 경어법 관련 내용이 빈약했다. 따라서 경어법 관련 내용이 많아져야 한다. 또한 교육적 시점을 초급부터 시작하여 꾸준히 확장할 필요가 있는데, 그 내용을 단순하게 다룰 것 이 아니라 더욱 세분화하고 자세히 제시할 필요가 있다. 나아가 한국어 관련 시험에서 경어법에 대한 문 항을 늘려 출제되어야 한다. 시사점 : 한국어 교재와 한국어 시험에서 경어법의 활용 실태를 파악하고, 교육해야 할 내용과 방향을 제 시한 것에 의의가 있겠다.
