Objective : This study aimed to analyze and review assessment tools used internationally to measure activity participation in school-aged children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Methods : This study included international research published between January 2001 and December 2024 that employed assessment tools to evaluate activity participation. Data were collected using electronic databases with the search terms: (‘activity’ OR ‘participation’) AND (‘child’ OR ‘school-age’) AND (‘ASD’ OR ‘autism spectrum disorder’) AND (‘measure’ OR ‘assessment’) AND (‘reliability’ OR ‘validity’). A total of seven studies were included in the final review. These studies were analyzed in terms of research objectives, target characteristics, measurement methods and criteria of the tools, scale types, sub-factors, and reported reliability and validity. Results : Seven assessment tools were used to evaluate activity participation of school-aged children with ASD. These tools were primarily used to assess participation levels and social interactions. Most tools employed self-report or caregiver/professional-report methods. The most common formats measures the frequency and intensity of participation in activities. The number and types of sub-factors varied across tools. All the selected tools reported some form of reliability and validity, although some tools provided limited psychometric properties. Conclusion : This study provides a clinical basis for the selection and use of assessment tools to measure participation in activities. The development of diverse and refined tools will contribute to the planning and implementation of occupation-based interventions for children in both clinical and educational settings.

목적 : 본 연구는 국외에서 발표된 학령기 자폐 스펙트럼 장애(Autism Spectrum Disorder; ASD) 아동 의 활동 참여 평가 도구를 주제범위 문헌고찰(scoping review)을 통해 분석하고자 한다. 연구방법 : 본 연구는 2001년 1월부터 2024년 12월까지 국외에서 발표된 ‘활동 참여 평가도구’를 사용한 연구를 대상으로 하였다. 전자 데이터베이스 (‘activity’ or ‘participation’) and (‘child’ or ‘school-age’) and (‘ASD’ or ‘autism spectrum disorder’) and (‘measure’ or ‘assessment’) and (‘reliability’ or ‘validity’) 등의 검색어를 사용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 최종 선정된 7편의 논문을 통해 대상 연구 분석, 연구 목적, 학령기 ASD 아동의 활동 참여 평가도구의 측정 방법 및 기준, 사용된 척도 유형, 하위 요인, 신뢰도 및 타당도 등을 분석하였다. 결과 : 학령기 ASD 아동의 활동 참여 평가도구는 총 7개 이었다. 참여 수준과 사회적 상호작용을 보기 위한 목적으로 가장 많이 사용되었으며, 대부분 자기보고식 형태와 전문가 보고 형태로 측정되었다. 활동 참여에 대한 빈도와 강도를 물어보는 도구가 가장 많았으며 평가도구에 대한 하위요인과 개수는 도구마 다 조금씩 다른 것으로 나타났다. 모든 평가도구는 타당도와 신뢰도가 보고되었으며, 일부 도구는 특정 특성만 제시되었다. 결론 : 본 연구는 활동 참여를 측정하기 위한 평가도구의 임상적 근거를 마련하고자 하였다. 앞으로 활동 참여 측정을 위한 평가도구가 다양하게 개발되어 아동의 작업기반 중재를 계획하고 실행하는 데 기초 자 료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
