Objective : This study aimed to investigate the effects of group-based Ayres Sensory Integration® (ASI®) intervention on sensory processing, motor skills, receptive and expressive vocabulary functions in children with sensory processing disorder. Methods : The intervention was applied to five children with sensory processing disorders from July to November 2024, with sessions held once a week (100 minutes each), for a total of 20 sessions. The ASI® intervention was conducted by two occupational therapists, and the fidelity of the ASI® was measured at each session. The pre- and post-intervention assessments included the Korean version of the Sensory Profile2, Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency-2 (BOT-2, short form), and a Receptive-Expressive Vocabulary Test to measure changes. Results : After the intervention, scores in the avoiding/avoider and sensitivity/sensor quadrants of the Sensory Profile2 (Korean version) improved, and there was an improvement in behavioral sections related to social emotion items. In the BOT-2 (short form), children who scored below average before the intervention showed improvement to average score following the intervention. Additionally, their expressive vocabulary scores on the Receptive-Expressive Vocabulary Test showed on average increase. Conclusion : This study is significant in that it applied group-based ASI® intervention to children with sensory processing disorder and measured language changes.

목적 : 본 연구는 감각처리장애아동에게 그룹 Ayres감각통합®중재를 적용하여 감각처리, 운동과 언어기능 에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 방법 : 5명의 감각처리장애아동에게 2024년 7월부터 11월까지 주 1회씩(100분), 총 20회기동안 그 룹 Ayres감각통합®중재(Ayres Sensory Integration® Intervention; ASI® Intervention)를 적용하였 다. 중재는 작업치료사 2명이 진행하였고, 매 회기마다 ASI®원리의 충실도를 측정하였다. 중재 전과 후 에 한글판 감각프로파일2, Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency-2, short form(BOT-2, short form), 수용·표현어휘력검사를 실시하였다. 결과 : 중재 전과 후를 비교하였을 때, 중재 후의 한글판 감각프로파일2의 차원에서 회피, 민감에서 점수가 향상되 었고, 행동섹션에서 사회적 감정 항목에서 점수가 향상되었다. BOT-2에서는 중재 전에 ‘평균보다 낮음’이었으 나 중재 후에 ‘평균’으로 향상되었고, 수용·표현어휘력검사의 표현 언어에서 평균 점수가 증가하였다. 결론 : 본 연구는 감각처리장애아동에게 ASI®중재를 그룹으로 적용하였다는 점과 언어의 변화를 측정하였 다는 점에 의의가 있다.
