Purpose : This study aims to identify the characteristics of preferential rules of origin in relation to rules of origin and how they affect export performance under FTA, that is, how these effects affect the trade performance of domestic import and export companies. Research design, data, methodology : In this study, a survey was conducted on working-level workers of import and export companies using actual FTAs, and empirical analysis was conducted on the collected data using statistical techniques, SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 23.0. Results : As a result of empirical analysis, examining the effect of the preferential rules of origin of FTAs on the utilization of FTAs, it was found that the characteristics of preferential rules of origin of FTAs such as limitation, complexity, and uncertainty all had a significant effect on the utilization of FTAs. Conclusions : This study shows that effective origin management improves performance and requires tracking goods from production to export, with government support for education and consulting.

본 연구는 FTA 특혜원산지규정의 특성인 제한성, 복잡성, 불확실성이 원산지관리시스템 활용 과 수출성과에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하였다. FTA의 확산으로 관세장벽은 낮아졌으 나, 원산지규정은 새로운 무역장벽으로 작용하며, 이는 기업들의 FTA 활용을 제한하고 무역 성과에 영향을 미치고 있다. 본 연구는 국내 수출입기업 실무자와 전문가를 대상으로 설문조 사를 실시해 397부의 데이터를 바탕으로 가설 검증을 수행하였다. 분석 결과, FTA 특혜원산지규정의 제한성, 복잡성, 불확실성은 원산지관리시스템 활용에 유의 한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 복잡성은 수출성과에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 반면, 제한성과 불확실성은 원산지관리시스템 활용을 매개로 수출성과에 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 이는 FTA 특혜관세의 성공적 활용을 위해 기업들이 규정의 특성을 이해 하고 체계적으로 대응할 필요성을 시사한다. 특히, 원산지관리시스템 활용은 원산지 규정 충족 과정에서 발생할 수 있는 오류를 줄이고, 사후검증 대응력을 높여 기업의 수출성과를 증대시키는 데 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났 다. 본 연구는 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 FTA 특혜원산지규정의 복잡성을 완화하고, 기업의 원 산지관리시스템 활용도를 높이기 위한 정책적 지원 방안을 제시하였다. 이를 통해 국제무역 환경에서 FTA 활용을 극대화하고, 기업 경쟁력을 강화할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
