Contemporary floral art has increasingly integrated science and technology, resulting in innovative works that explore new dimensions through interdisciplinary convergence This study aims to reinterpret floral art as a form of sculptural art, moving beyond naturalistic designs to convey the symbolic meanings of the Bible through visual and emotional resonance. By incorporating the characteristics of kinetic art, the study focuses on expressing vitality and spirituality through dynamic and multidimensional floral arrangements. Key aspects such as space, volume, texture, motion, sound, light, and color were explored in this study. A representative work, inspired by the biblical miracle of “The Feeding of the Five Thousand” (Matthew 14:19), depicts Jesus feeding a multitude with five loaves and two fish. This concept was visualized using iron rods and plates, with fish of varying sizes and shapes leaping in unison. Motion sensors were integrated to detect viewers, activating LED-lit fish and accompanying wave sounds to create a multisensory experience. The artwork blends strong, condensed materials like iron rods and plates with the soft textures of vibrant flowers, fruits, and greenery, achieving dynamic contrasts. Three differently sized fish sculptures were designed with clock-face eyes, where the rotation of the clock hands and ticking sounds conveyed continuous motion. Two of the fish were adorned with spiral-shaped eyes made of silver wire, adding a sense of liveliness. The combination of organic fish structures with floral materials created contrasts in texture, harmony in color, variability in motion, and spatial diffusion through light. These four-dimensional sculptural elements brought vitality and spirituality to the artwork, expanding the expressive potential of floral design.

현대 꽃예술 분야에서는 과학과 기술을 도입하고 타 분야와 융합을 시도한 새로운 차 원의 작품들이 발표되고 있다. 이러한 시도는 꽃예술의 영역을 확장시키는 동시에 그 발 전에도 크게 기여하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 예수 그리스도의 ‘오병이어의 기적’ 내용을 토대로 하여 꽃예술의 다양 한 종합적인 표현 언어들을 활용하여 감상자와의 긴밀한 소통을 실험하였다. 꽃예술 작품 <오병이어의 기적>은 공간, 양감, 질감, 운동, 소리, 빛, 색채 등을 주된 관점으로 하여 표현하고 그 조형적 효과를 검증한 결과는 다음과 같다. 응축된 철봉과 철근으로 크기가 다른 물고기를 상향으로 반복구성하여 중량감 있는 구 심공간이 형성되었고, 다양한 식물소재들로 방향성과 양감을 동시에 부여함으로써 생동성 있는 구심적 공간이 형성되었다. 세 마리 물고기에 시계로 된 눈을 부착하여 시계바늘의 회전운동으로 운동감이 형성되 도록 하였고, 재깍재깍 소리에 의한 현존성에 의한 생명력과 활동성이 지속되도록 하였 다. 또한 철판으로 된 물고기 두 마리에 은색 와이어로 나선형의 눈을 부착함으로써 착시 현상에 의한 운동감을 표현하였다. 더불어 다양한 식물소재의 중첩으로 양감 확산에 의한 운동감을 강조하였다. 운동은 주의력을 끄는 매우 강한 시·지각의 대상이므로 LED 색광 의 점멸에 의한 실제 운동을 더하여 긴장감을 강조함으로써 4차원 세계의 역동성이 강조 되었다. 검은색 철판 물고기에 센서를 부착하여 감상자가 작품에 접근하면 센서가 감지하여 힘 차게 밀려오는 파도 소리가 감상자의 청각적 감각을 자극하여 역동적인 공간으로 표현되 었다. 이와 같이 밀려오는 파도소리는 한 곳에서 다른 곳으로 에너지를 옮기는 효과를 동 반하게 됨으로써 역동감에 의한 생명성이 융합되어 영성과 신비적 공간으로 승화되었다. LED 선이 부착된 두 마리의 물고기는 감상자가 작품에 접근하면 센서가 감지하여 빛 을 발하여 확장성과 양감이 형성되고 시간에 의한 4차원의 작품으로 승화되었다. 강력한 생명력을 가진 녹색 식물의 줄기, 잎, 열매, 화려하고 독특한 색채의 꽃과 주색 을 이루는 무채색의 견고한 물고기 형태는 안정된 화합력이 나타나고 다양한 색채의 기능에 의한 통합 조화된 영성이 창출되었다.
