The modern fashion market is pursuing new and unique designs and innovations. Techniques that express expandability and individuality, such as printing techniques and techniques utilizing objects, are being expressed and studied, but they are not significantly deviating from the existing framework. In this study, a design was created by applying a fashion design technique that was not used in existing fashion. In order to study the innovative and unique designs that modern society consumers demand, folk art was designed in fashion. Folk art is widely used in nail art and craft works, and is attracting attention as a unique design while leading to technical and artistic development. However, its use in other fields is insufficient. As shown in the research results that designs including delicate patterns such as floral patterns are highly preferred among nail art designs, folk art designs are popular designs for modern people who dislike uniform patterns. Recently, the number of consumers demanding creative and artistic designs, which are one of the important trends in the fashion industry, is increasing. Accordingly, applying folk art to fashion can not only create new aesthetic value in the fashion field, but also add depth to the work and enrich the visual experience of consumers by utilizing different materials and techniques, so this study was conducted. Men's shirts, women's shirts, women's dresses, and children's dresses were designed with thistle, chrysanthemum, hydrangea, daffodil, and poppy flowers using folk art techniques. Through the works of this study, the purpose of suggesting artistic design in fashion design and creating new aesthetic value in the fashion field was realized.

현대의 패션 시장은 새로움과 개성있는 디자인과 혁신을 추구하고 있다. 확장성과 개성을 표현한 기법으로 프린팅 기법과 오브제를 활용한 기법이 표현되고 연구 되고 있지만 기존 틀에서 크게 벗어나지 못한 실정이다. 본 연구는 기존 패션에서 사용되지 않은 패션 디자인 기법을 적용하여 디자인하였다. 현대 사회 소비자가 요 구하는 혁신적이고 개성있는 디자인을 연구하고자 패션에 포크아트를 연출하여 디자인하였다. 포크아트는 네일아트 및 공예 작품에 많이 활용되고 기술적, 예술적 발전을 이끌어 내는 동시에 개성있는 디자인으로 주목받고 있다. 하지만 다른 분야에서는 활용이 미비한 실정이다. 네일아트 디자인 중 꽃무늬와 같은 섬세한 문양 을 포함한 디자인이 높은 선호를 얻었다는 연구 결과에서처럼 포크아트 디자인은 획일적인 문양을 싫어하는 현대인에게 인기있는 디자인이다. 최근 패션 분야에서 중요한 트렌드 중 하나인 창의적이고 예술적인 디자인을 요구하는 소비자가 늘고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라 포크아트를 패션에 적용하면 패션 분야에서의 새로운 미 적 가치를 창출할 수 있을 뿐만아니라, 각기 다른 재료와 기법을 활용함으로써 작품에 깊이를 더하고, 소비자의 시각적 경험을 풍부하게 할 수 있을 것으로 사료되어 본 연구를 진행하였다. 남성셔츠, 여성셔츠, 여성원피스, 유아원피스에 각각 찔레꽃, 국화꽃, 수국, 수선화와 양귀비꽃을 포크아트 기법을 통하여 디자인하였다. 본 연구의 작품을 통하여 패션디자인의 예술적인 디자인을 제안하고, 이를 통해 패션 분야에서의 새로운 미적 가치를 창출하려는 목적을 실현시킬 수 있었다.
