초록
영어
(Background and Purpose) This study aims to collect basic data on the spatial composition and functions of youth free spaces in the metropolitan area. Due to the lack of clear legal standards regarding scale, manpower, and facilities, this research seeks to provide foundational data for establishing systematic standards and improving related laws. (Method and Scope) This study collects public information on youth free spaces in the metropolitan area to analyze spatial composition, functions, and provided equipment. Building ledgers are used to determine space scale. The primary samples are Goyang, Suwon, and Pyeongtaek in Gyeonggi-do, with additional cases for deriving implications. Results are visualized. (Results) The average opening hours of independent youth free spaces in the metropolitan area are 45 hours. The average space area is 314.48㎡ (95.13py). Space functions are broadly categorized into administrative management and youth activities, with subcategories including entry/exit, administration, static activities, equipment-based activities, dynamic activities, food and beverage activities, and outdoor activities. Spaces prioritize rest, activity, communication, learning, and culture, exhibiting characteristics such as diversity, autonomy, creativity, openness, and safety. Spatial composition includes rest, activity, communication, learning, and cultural spaces.
