The purpose of this study is to deeply analyze the serious leisure experience of futsal enthusiasts, thereby deeply elucidating the sport characteristics of futsal. To this end, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, etc., and the data were analyzed using the inductive analysis method. The results are as follows. First, the characteristics of everyday leisure include simple intrinsic rewards, and the psychological factors were subdivided into sense of liberation, sense of accomplishment, sense of activity, and sense of joy. Second, the characteristics of project-type leisure include project-based learning that allows for a lot of experiences in a short period of time, and learning activities are subdivided into mercenary activities, academy, and participation in competitions. Third, the characteristics of serious leisure are shown to be strong immersion, and this is subdivided into high passion, slump, strong attachment, true reward, and strong sense of belonging.

본 연구의 목적은 풋살 동호인의 진지한 여가 경험을 심층적으로 분 석함으로써, 최근에 주목받고 있는 풋살의 스포츠적 특성과 진지한 여가 의 경험을 심층적으로 규명하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 참여관찰, 심층면담 등을 통하여 자료를 수집하였으며, 귀납적 분석 방법(inductive analysis method)으로 자료를 분석하였으며 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 일상적 여 가의 특성은 단순한 내재적 보상이 있으며, 심리적 요인에는 ‘해방 감’, ‘성취감’, ‘활동감’, ‘희열감’으로 구분되었다. 둘째, 프로 젝트형 여가의 특성은 짧은 기간에 많은 것을 경험할 수 있는 프로젝트 기반 학습이 있으며, 학습 활동에는 ‘용병 활동’, ‘학원’, ‘대회 참 가’로 구분되었다. 셋째, 진지한 여가의 특성은 강한 몰입을 느끼는 것 으로 나타났으며 이는 ‘높은 열정’, ‘슬럼프’, ‘강한 애착’, ‘진 정한 보람’, ‘강한 소속감’으로 구분되었다. 본 연구는 풋살의 스포 츠적 특성과 진지한 여가의 특성을 규명했다는 데 의의가 있으며, 풋살 에 관심 있는 대중들에게 경험적 지식을 제공해 줄 수 있을 것이다.
