A study on the effect of the basic pension on poverty and depression for the elderly examines the role of the basic pension as an important factor in improving the quality of life of the elderly. This study analyzes the effect of basic pension receipt on the poverty level and depression of the elderly, and through this, suggests that the basic pension system can have a positive effect on the economic stability and mental health of the elderly. As such, the elderly who receive the basic pension have a lower economic burden than those who do not, and have helped them escape from poverty or improve. In addition, the elderly who receive the basic pension tended to have a lower rate of feeling depressed, which shows that the basic pension has a positive effect on the mental health of the elderly. Therefore, this study shows that the basic pension can play an important role not only in improving the poverty of the elderly, but also in psychological well-being and social integration. Therefore, it can be concluded that the expansion of the basic pension system and improvement of poverty for the elderly can contribute to alleviating depression.

기초연금이 노인빈곤과 우울감에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구는 노인의 삶의 질을 향상시키는 중요한 요소로서 기초연금의 역할을 살펴본다. 본 연구는 기초연금 수급이 노인의 빈곤 수준 및 우울감에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 이를 통해 기초연금 제도가 노인들의 경제적 안정과 정신건강에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 제시하고자 한다. 이와같이, 기초연금을 받는 노인들은 그렇지 않은 노인들에 비해 경제적 부담이 줄어들었으며, 빈곤 상태에서 벗어나거나 개선에 도움이 되었다. 또한, 기초연금을 받는 노인들은 우울감을 느끼는 비율이 낮아지는 경향을 보였으며, 이는 기초연금이 노인의 정신건강에도 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있다. 따라서, 본 연구는 기초연금이 노인의 빈곤 개선 뿐만 아니라, 심리적 안녕과 사회적 통합에도 중요한 역할을 할 수 있음을 보여준다. 이에, 기초연금 제도의 확대와 노인빈곤 개선은 우울감 완화에 기여할 수 있다는 결론을 도출할 수 있다.
