This paper examines the positive outcomes, limitations, and areas requiring improvements on the case of online exchanges between Korean and Japanese university students conducted in a course in the first semester of 2024. Participants in this class talked about given topics with their language partner once a week for 50 minutes, which was the exchange time in their respective target languages. During a total of eight classes, students were assigned to record the content of the exchange, lessons learned, and areas that need to be improved for each week; and in the last exchange class, each student from both countries chose a topic from the exchanges they had and gave a presentation in their respective target languages. The analysis of the self-assessment survey regarding the comprehensive satisfaction evaluation on a point scale of 5 showed high degree of satisfaction: 4.13 points from Korean students and 4.33 points from Japanese students. In addition, it was relevantly shown that students who communicated with their counterparts more frequently have spent more time searching books and web sites for the class (p≦.05). Students who responded that the exchanges with the counterpart was helpful to their learning assessed that the exchange time was sufficient (p≦.05). Furthermore, the text mining of the reports submitted by students after the course showed that students from both countries cited the chance to interact with students from the counterpart country, aids in advancing their language skills, and the deepened understanding of Japanese people and culture. Shy attitudes, lack of language skills, and lack of knowledge of their own culture were mentioned as areas that needed improvements.

본 고는 2024년 1학기에 실시한 한･일 학생 간 온라인교류 수업의 실천 사례를 통해 수업을 활용한 온라인교류의 성과와 한계점, 그리고 개선점을 고찰한 것이다. 학습자 상호교수를 통한 커뮤니케이션능력 향상과 문화이해를 위해 본 수업 참가자들은 매주 1회 50분의 교류 시간 동안 정해진 주제에 대해 각자의 학습목표언어로 대화하였다. 총 8회 수업이 진행되는 동안 학생들에게 각 주차별 교류내용과 배운 점, 반성할 점을 스스로 적는 과제를 부여했고 학기 말의 마지막 교류 시에는 양국 학생들이 그간 교류했던 내용 중에서 주제를 정해 각자의 목표언어로 발표했다. 온라인교류 수업 종료 후 자기평가 방식의 설문조사를 분석한 결과, 5점 척도의 종합적인 만족도 평가에서 한국 측 4.13점, 일본 측 4.33점으로 높은 만족도를 보였다. 또한 상대 학생과 연락을 많이 주고받은 학생일수록 교류 수업을 위해 책이나 WEB 사이트를 많이 검색한 사실이 유의하게 나타났으며(p≦.05) 또한, 자신의 학습에 상대국 학생이 도움이 되었다고 응답한 학생일수록 교류 수업 시간이 적절하다고 평가(p≦.05)했다. 또 수업 종료 후 학생들이 제출한 보고서를 텍스트마이닝 분석한 결과 양국 학생들은 상대국 학생들과 교류의 기회를 가질 수 있었던 것, 어학 실력 향상에 도움이 된 것, 상대국의 사회·문화에 대한 이해가 깊어진 것을 좋았던 점으로 들었다. 반성점으로는 소극적이었던 교류 태도나 어학 실력 부족, 자국 문화에 대한 지식 부족을 들었다.

本稿は、2024年の1学期に実施された日韓学生間のオンライン交流授業の事例を分析し、その成果と課題、そして改善点を考察したものである。本授業では、参加者が毎週1回、50分間、指定されたテーマについてそれぞれの学習目標言語で対話を行う形式で進められた。全8回の授業の中で、学生たちは交流内容、交流の中で学んだ点、反省点をまとめる課題を遂行し、学期末にはそれまでの交流内容をもとにテーマを選定し、学習目標言語で発表を行った。 オンライン交流授業終了後に実施した自己評価アンケートの結果、5点尺度の総合満足度評価では、韓国側の学生は平均4.13点、日本側の学生は平均4.33点と高い満足度を示した。また、SPSS分析より相手国学生と頻繁に連絡を取り合った学生ほど、交流授業のために本やWEBサイトをより多く検索する傾向があり(p≦.05)、さらに、相手国の学生が自分の学習に役立ったと回答した学生ほど、50分の交流の時間が適切であると評価する傾向が有意に見られた(p≦.05)。 さらに、学生たちから提出された課題をテキストマイニング手法で分析した結果、両国の学生はオンライン交流授業について相手国の学生と交流する機会を得たこと、語学力向上に役立ったこと、日本人･日本文化に対する理解が深まったことを良かった点として挙げた。一方で、消極的な自分の交流態度、語学力不足、自国の文化に関する知識不足を反省点として挙げていた。
