This study examines the influence of digital transformation on firm innovation performance in the Chinese manufacturing industry. Drawing on the dynamic capabilities theory, a conceptual model and hypotheses are developed. Using a sample of A-share listed manufacturing companies from 2012 to 2022, we investigate the mediating role of dynamic capabilities in the relationship between digital transformation and innovation performance. The results reveal the following: digital transformation has a positive impact on both dynamic capabilities and innovation performance; dynamic capabilities positively influence innovation performance; and dynamic capabilities mediate the relationship between digital transformation and innovation performance. The findings of this study further validate the positive influence of digital transformation on firm innovation performance and shed light on the underlying relationships among the variables, contributing to the existing body of knowledge in this field. Practical recommendations are provided to enhance firm innovation performance in the Chinese manufacturing industry.

본 연구는 디지털전환이 중국 제조업의 기업 혁신성과에 얼마나 중요한 영향을 미치는가에 관한 인과 관계를 분석해 보았다. 이론적 배경으로는 동적역량이론을 기초로 하여 개념적 모델과 가설을 설정했 으며 분석의 기간은 2012년부터 2022년까지 중국의 A주 상장 제조기업을 표본으로 삼아 디지털전환 과 그에 따른 혁신성과 간의 관계에서 동적역량의 매개적 역할을 분석해 보았다. 분석결과에 의하면 디 지털 전환에 따른 기업의 동적역량과 혁신성과는 모두에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 특히 기업의 동적역량은 혁신성과에 보다 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 본 연구 결과에서는 중국의 제조기업의 동적역량이 디지털전환과 혁신성과 간의 관계를 매개하는 매우 중요한 역할을 하고 있다는 점을 알 수 있었고 이에 따라 기업은 성과개선과 글로벌 경쟁력 향상을 위해 보다 적극적인 방법으로 디지털전환을 모색할 필요가 있다고 할 수 있다.
